![]() Here is a initial picture of our set up done by our technicians here at Weissach Brasil, it's a kit done by Closed Course Motorsport with working IACV controled by the ECU, we have wide band correction and A/C compenstation. The engine is a 1973 ex-K-Jetronic 2.4L. We'll soon have a video of our dyno run. We've tried to leave our engine bay as clean as possible There are more pics at our Instagram: weissachporsche

Clay.0, more info please? I am thinking about turboing my SC that is currently running PMO's I want to find a good slick intake set up. Thought a stock 3.2 intake would work, but this is just way cool.

So what has been everyone's experience wiring in EFI? Have you wired the engine before or after installation into the car? I'm after a tidy install with the least amount of wiring visible, so I intend to install the ECU and relays inside the car.

Shot you a message in your thread, but I'll add it here for posterity. My setup is a US 3.0 SC with 964 cams, Triumph ITBs from Clay, Toyota COPs, Bosch 31lb injectors being run from Microsquirt EFI in wasted spark.
Velocity stacks are from a Yamaha XS650, they have internal mesh screens and stay in place via 3 set screws each. I also have Filterwears velocity stack pre-filters to help keep out water. Additionally, I'm not running a catch can but trying out an air breather filter with its own Filterwears pre-filter, we'll see how it goes. ![]() |

ITB Set-ups
I know you said ITB's, but just in case someone out there wants a view of a different group of options, I am posting a description of a Single TB Installation on my 1974 Porsche 911.
The basic EFI Kit came from Bitz Racing and consisted of the ECU, wiring harness, fuel Injectors (Ford 30#), Fuel Bars and misc bits. I also obtained the following Used parts from eBay and Rennlist: a Porsche Single Throttle Body & a Set of (6) Porsche Intake Runners. My old Fuel pump only produced about 6 psi and the EFI needs around 36 psi, so I bought a Fuel Pump from Summit Racing and some small supplies like fuel hose and filters, and an air intake system were purchased locally. I did the Programming over a period of about 2 years working part time. In fairness, the default settings provided by BitzRacing worked great right out of the box. But each setting needed to be tweaked for my specific Porsche and environment. I was surprised when after hooking up all the parts, fuel lines and wiring, I reached through the driver's window to turn the key. I was expecting it to crank over and over and perhaps build oil pressure. Well, it did that and more! It rolled over 2-3 revs and fired up, then it idled smoothly at approx 950 rpm. I was all smiles! I have been running this system for roughly 10 years and have not had a minute of trouble until a couple of months ago. To his credit Tony Bitz provided email support answering my endless questions with patience and knowledge! I ending up finding a fuse blown but had Tony go through the ECU just to be sure there were no problems in that expensive part. Thankfully he found no problems and returned it to me all for a small (IMO) fee of $50., which I thought was completely fair. I still have not found a reason for the 3a fuse to blow but I replaced it and the problem has not repeated itself. The bottom photo shows the "Before" look with a pair of Weber 40IDA's. The top photo shows the Finished almost EFI Project on my 2.7L engine awaiting the Air Filter System, etc. #3 shows another view of the completed system. Enjoy! |

I want to know what he is going to use as an air filter because what I see isn't much better than no air filter.
Plus, I see no flapper valve or flapper control so I don't get what the point is......

Sump vent and evap line hook up?.
What kinds of options are there for dealing with the big vent line from the sump tank and the small evap line from the l fender charcoal canister.
Additionally, my 74 has that huge black canister tucked into the front of the engine compartment. I learned my lesson on the 308, dumping all of the smog/evap junk, only to run out of fuel because the fuel tank didn’t get any make up air as the fuel was consumed -DUHHH. I am inclined to run the sump vent line into the bottom of the right K&N filter and do the same with the evap line on the left side. I see a fair bit of oil residue in the CIS air box and don’t want to have that running out of the air cleaner, but a puke can is unappealing also. Should I go totally retro with the antique “Road Draft Tube”, that left a huge oily black smear down the center of each road lane? Maybe not. On a more positive note, Shaun’s air cleaner is absolutely gorgeous and I see that he has a small K&N vent filter on the sump. Looking forward to the X Factory early Christmas present. chris |

Thanks for posting. Installing that early air filter housing was the right way to go....looks great and was relatively easy to do. Chris.....your EFI kit is coming together and will be heading your way shortly..... regards, al PS: I have been installing that small breather filter on the sump on quite a few installs and it has been working well. PSS: Chris, the PMO kit does come with the bits needed to plumb the vent into the rainhats.
