I am stunned, shocked, and amazed how well these tires grip for under $500 or any price for that matter. Thanks for the recommendation of grip over optics. I felt a bit of understeer in downhill off camber turns out in the canyons this weekend but I'll chalk that up to unfamiliarity with the 911 platform and perhaps old bushings. The 911 is one amazing automobile.

I know you have your tires already, but I ran 225/50 and 245/45 F/R for years on my SC on 7" and 8" BBS wheels. I went back to the stock size when they got hard to find in a tire with a tread-wear greater than 100.

That is because the 911 is an understeering car in stock form. And you kind of want it to be, on the street.

Lifting is the cure. But that’s graduate school level 911. Keep to 100 level for now.

figured as much - any real disadvantage running 2 different potenzas front and rear? 16x7 up front and 16x9 in the rear. can't find a matching set of 205/245. only thing I can find are trofeos and don't want to spend 800$

It's not generally recommended but also not that big a deal.

For those looking for RE-11's in 205/55x16 and 225/50x16, Tire Rack has now removed that combination from their website. The 205/55's in particular have boon on B/O for a couple of months.

Amazon. Both were free shipping and came to $700.
