Additional motor in transit.....

This is the second motor I bought in 2 weeks in preparation for the next Engine Rebuilding Classes in April 2020. The motor will be transported from Las Vegas, NV to Philadelphia, PA and expected to arrive later this week.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1574186835.jpg

We have plenty of motors to play around for the coming sessions. Thanks.

Engine Rebuilding Classes inquiries..........

The number of people inquiring for late registration this past week has been encouraging. But I can not possibly accommodate all these inquiries due to my physical limitations. Right now there are six (6) groups with 8 participants and a minimum of 10 hours per session. This is a lot of man-hour for an old guy like me. While I am healthy and active, I don’t want to over do it because I am doing these sessions alone with some assistance from my wife.

The two-day sessions is not FREE. I have received numerous emails and PM’s inquiring to register and join the sessions but failed to reply when informed of the cost of $250 per participant. As of this writing, I spent more than $15K for the purchase of 2 motors. More expenses than the total revenue.

A last minute decision was made to add another group (wait-list) for May 7-8. I will need your full name, screen name, email, and a refundable deposit of $100 to get into this group. Thanks.

Thought I'd inquire again about doing a transmission rebuild class? Or if the group knows of someone who would do this?
Hope you have happy holidays,

Brian

Hi Tony,

Can I register for this class? I am very interested and can give down payment now. When would the first available spot be? I hope I'm not too late.

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for any consideration you can give.

Thanks again,

The participants are responsible for their own accommodation and transportation to this event. The venue is at Norristown, PA 19401. There are numerous hotels and restaurants around the area including car rentals. The Philadelphia Airport is about 25 miles from the venue. The participants are coming from all over the country like the first engine rebuild sessions in 2018. We need two (2) full days to cover most of the topics (8:00 AM to 5::00 PM) with a one-hour lunch break. Thanks.

I am excited to see all the interest and glad Tony is going for it again. I was a part of the original classes in 2018 and learned a lot but also had a great time getting to know other Pelicans from around the country.

As I look over the last remaining vacant spots I am tempted to attend again just to hang out with the group.

P.S. I have successfully rebuilt my motor since this class. =)

Good day Tony,

I'm looking forward to this class and I'd like to start getting organized with my flight plans, local transportation, and accommodations.

If I recall you are about 30 minutes north of Philly?

What hotel would you recommend close to where the sessions are being held?

Where can I get a real Philly cheese steak?

What are some other good restaurants?

Let me know if there's anything I can do to make this easier for ya. (I'm coming in Sunday prior and can help setup/clean if need)

Kevin et al,

My wife is preparing a list of hotels and restaurants near the venue (19401). I will include this list to the email I will be sending out to each and every participants. Anyone arriving the day before the first day is welcome to stop by and take a look at the classroom and set up. Or someone organize a group outing for dinner like we did before. Any assistance is welcome. Thanks.

For those of you attending the April 16-17 class, I booked the Marriott Springhill Suites. Google says it’s 2.5 miles away. $205 total for both nights. Address is 430 Plymouth Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA, 19462. I’m looking forward to class and meeting my classmates. Best, Lee

Marc,

The address is correct. 302 E. Brown Street, Norristown, PA 19401. The original plan was to have the venue in the same building we had in 2018. But the owner of the building has informed me that the property is for sale and a new owner is eminent. He could not guarantee me the availability of the room in April and May.

A decision was made to relocate the Engine Rebuilding Classes to a place I could secure for April and May. After discussing this with my family, I was given the go ahead by my wife to have it at home. We have a two-car garage and soon-to-be a three-car garage. There is plenty of room and the chance to test run a motor. I was not allowed to run a gas driven motor in the old place due to insurance restriction.

Right now, work is being done to renovate and build an extension for additional floor space. I have 5 motors available now for the class. See everyone in spring.
