cylinder head smog injector problem
we have a 912 e with a stripped smog injector. Does anyone have a simple (okay- patch job- the client can't afford to take the heads off) solution? The threads are really down in there and the oe air injector just spins around in the hole now
Thanks! |

Air pressurize cylinder with piston at tdc (both valves closed). Drill for helicoil (air pressure will blow cuttings back in your face) - use heavy grease on tap to capture "shards". Aluminum shavings will probably vaporize at combustion temps anyway (1400-1600 degrees).
OR JB Weld it in.

Thanks Coldbass (ale - mmmmmmmmmmm)
Not smart, just years of fixing broken race cars at the track in the heat and dirt.
