Count me in!
Hey JP glad to hear from you. It's been a while since I've posted on Pelican. Pitiful I know. You'll be glad to hear my love for 914's has grown. 3- 914's now to be exact. I'm trying to keep up with Craig & Jim. That would explain my lack of money at the moment. Just bought 2 of them in the last week. A 73' parts car with 1.7. It has a sweet set of 4-bolt Fuchs on it(pretty much the only reason I bought it really. After buying the 70 with Flares on Saturday I will be stealing a few more parts before I get rid of it! I will need an engine for it though. I would prefer to just install your 2.7 at the meet if you don't mind

Keep your cotton pickers off'n my 2.7L. Last time it was talkin' to me, it said it was happy where it is.
Bring a 2.7 core and a trunk full of money and we can build one just like it for you, tho. ![]() See ya.

I cannot figure out how to make this work.
I *figured* the wife would be back up in Seattle Monday Dec.30th...but NOOOO She wont fly into SEATAC until Thurs. the 2nd. The whole idea is to visit her in Seattle and see the town.. cant do that if she isnt there. I could go up this weekend as was had chatted about in the other email groups... but she flies into SF the evening we talked about getting together. I cant win. My schedule is completely open...just trying to work around hers. B |

Hey, thanks for the invite man, but the wife is being pissy says I have to be home by one. So by the time I drive over, I would have to turn around to make it home on time.

So, does anybody know a good place for dinner and BS'ing in/near Vancouver WA? The jabber on the PacNW914 email list seems to indicate that dinner that evening is a preferred option.
Thoughts? --DD

I'll bring some fried chicken if needed!
Pot luck would be cool just so we don't eat JP out of his 2.7 engine. Let us know how we can help JP. Can we do a mini swap meet too? Just a thought

Wrap a prime rib roast in heavy foil, salt and pepper to taste. A little garlic spread on is good. Put on your exhaust manifold. 400 miles should be medium rare.
We'll be waiting. My mouth is begining to water. Craig C. Laughlin CAMP 914

Maybe I'm missing something in all this, but as I understand it, JP and wife are hosting a "git together" starting at noon and providing some food. We bring our own pop, beer, wine, etc.
To me that's lunch. Since I don't think we are invited to a slumber party, some may begin to leave sometime around 2 and some may stay until 4 or 5. At that point, some may be ready for a beer and dinner at a public place like Kennedy School or some place in Vancouver. I don't think the two things are mutually exclusive, are they? |

Jim, I agree with you. That's the way I envisioned the whole git-together. Need some more input from JP.
I've haven't made it the Kennedy School McNoodleMan's yet, how is it?

B, yer not gonna find anything on your list up that-a-way. Or at least, not very much of it.
The McMennamins' places are a bit like the Tied House, but seem much more bent on clogging your arteries. Good 'Murkin food, in other words... --DD
