Yup got it, wasn't sure who you were addressing it too.
It's like when I broke my arm..."just walk it off"

I no longer believe there is some sort of unattainable seal between the calipers. Why would there need to be one as the brake fluid gets to the other side via the crossover pipe!! So why would there be any kind of seal between the calipers? I did NOT split my calipers do to fear of ruining this POS seal.

Thanks
Mike G.

Just a wild guess, but when you stand on the brake pedal, you're applying a lot of pressure to push the pistons out?

I recently upgraded my braking system. Went from the stock old single piston floating calipers to the turbo setup off the same year (1986). I dismantled the Brembo calipers but did not split them. (no need to). Bead blasted them then washed them. I hit them with a good hi temp primer then a few light coats of VHT caliper paint. After I painted them, I baked them in my oven at 250 degrees for one hour to get the paint nice and hard. when they cooled I sprayed them with VHT clear. I see no color change or peeling after about 1000 miles. Pictures can be see on the NA 944 forum under Mike's rebuild journey! Just my 2 cents
