				3.2 litre build using the 1989 2.7 944na

Has anyone done the 3.2 litre build using the 1989 2.7 944na engine as the donor? I am told you can resleeve the 2.7 block to accept J&E custom turbo pistons and a 3.0 s2 or 968 crank to come out with a 3.2 or 3.3 litre torque monster easily capable of 450 HP on street fuel while utilising the stock 951 turbo crossover pipe, intake etc. Does anyone have any accurate info to offer ? PS.......Is there any difference between the s2 3.0 crank and the 968 3.0 crank?? I was told that the 968 is a better piece! thanks...........G | ||

i haven't seen a 3.2L motor. however, I have seen a 3.1L, it had an S2 crank (which shouldn't be any different than a 968 crank), and 104.5mm sleeves/pistons. It was built from an S2 engine and was a 16V turbo.

Came across most of what you were asking. http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/951_eng_perfmod.htm I think using a 3.0 block and then over bore, sleeve and using the 944 Turbo head/modified is easiest. These guys can do it but it cost bank. http://www.powerhaus.com/944t.htm I have No first hand experience to share.

Chris White over on Rennlist should be able to give you a whole boat load of information on this. IIRC he said it was theoretically possible to take it up to 3.6L or something crazy like that.
