so let me get this straight, toyota owners won't tell you how to fix your toyota and that's okay. but when porsche owners won't tell you how to fix your toyota they are snobby?

what 944's do you own? post up some pics and we'll tell you how to fix them all day long.

don't want to deal with someone that doesn't have anything to bring to the table.i worked as a mechanic for many years, owned alot of nice cars but never refused anyone any knowledge i had if they asked.i think the problem with my camry is an ignition ignitor which all cars with breakerless electronic iginitions have,i just wanted to see if anyone else felt the same before i bought one.

Jump out tc and e1 in the diagnostic connector , count the engine light flashes and get the code . Ps: if it has too many codes to count then un hook the battery cables for the battery positive and negative touch them together for 30 seconds reconnect try to start for a minute or to then jump out the diagnostic connector agian and count the engine light flashes. These cars were famous for distributor failures ( built in coil and igniter in the distributor) Also make sure you never jumped time ( T-belt) 2 nd a 3rd generation Camrys are some of the best built cars ever !! Bottom line , let me Know Davepnola,,, ex Toyota Tech .................................. Oh after u get the code then just type it into GOOGLE U know 92 camry with code 52 and hit enter someone will be talking about it !!!

good point nize. its true by fact that they both have engines and 4 wheels, but i think other than that, and both having a gas cap, the similarities end there. in all seriousness it sucks the toyota guys couldnt help you, i ran into problems like that when i had a merkur. however, in nize's defense its not that were being snobby, its just that the question was asked in a porsche forum. if i were to ask the ferrari guys how to troubleshoot an electrical problem on a mg midget, they would probably respond with a similar comment.

then again if i asked someone with a ferrari about an mg and "electrical problems" they would probably whisper the word "lucas"

at this point i think lucas wired the space shuttle....... GO Atlantis... oh darn another damn power connector problem... scrubbed!
