Everything went great when I picked up the chock today. The seller was a motor-guy big time. You should have seen his garage! I didn't take any pics but it was just epic. Had this sign on one of his cabinet doors....

Nice score! I have a Baxley Companies LA trailer Chock. I used it when we drove from CO to FL a few years ago to ride from Tampa to Key West. I am not a big trailer my motorcycle guy, but we did that trip in April and there was 16 inches of snow on the ground when we left.

I bought this trailer about 3 years ago from a CL ad. Private seller in St. Augustine. All aluminum and very lightweight - perfect for a motorcycle except......the bed is only 6' in length....and my Interceptors run closer to 7' in length. Oops!
I found I could do transports by parking the bike in diagonally. PITA but do-able. During the acquisition of the '86 VF500F....the seller came up with a brilliant solution that I hadn't thought of. Just cut out the front and move the bike forward over part of the tongue. He didn't mention the chock - that was my contribution. I got everything done today but still need to test it and also there's a couple cut off angle railings I need to secure, which I will do later today. I bought the chock from Amazon. It's removable if I want to use the trailer without it. A few pics..... The day I picked up the VF500F last year. I did the same thing with quite a few other bikes. PITA and not ideal!

Tested my new chock today and it seems to be working OK. On the "Rambo" enduro - the tire is narrower so it didn't stay as upright as it did with the Interceptor.
I'll be installing some SS U-bolts next for the ratchet straps.

It was 12ºF at 4am this morning. Supposed to be mid-50s on Wednesday. Can't wait to go for a short ride.

Baz - Just a suggestion, I've always 'caught' my motorcycles on the handle bars with the straps, slightly collapsing the fork. Once you do that the rest of the bike falls into place nicely and you only have to put straps on the frame to keep it from moving side to side.

Thanks for the suggestion, Scott.
A first for me today as I was trying to capture some serial numbers on my latest ride I see this. A freaking spare key magnetic holder on the front stem. Opened it and indeed there's a spare key inside AND the key code is inscribed on it! ![]()

I had the old paint shaker out a couple of days ago (on Sunday morning). I managed to find this herd of elk quietly grazing and loafing around. You might have to zoom in, they are way in back, just in front of the tree line.

Was working on my trailer this afternoon and met another customer who has a unit a few doors down from mine. Told me he just bought a 1975 HD flat track bike.
Lot more to the story - his Dad was the CEO of the AMA at one point. Guy's been involved in motorsports his whole life. We had quite an interesting conversation! And I still finished the work on my trailer - ready to pick up my next RC26 tomorrow.

Absolutely! Next time you are out our way...
Old school flathead flat tracker - pretty darn cool. Someone flipped the negative, though. That's the left side.
