Adventure motorcycle gang. I think there were 8 of them. Loud bikes, some Harley, some others, some were really booming.
They pulled off the highway in front of me, couldn't safely get a good pic of all of them, stoplight here. I wonder where they are all going.

Party in Tampa!
Stuff like this happens - and will continue to happen - because we aren't enforcing the laws in the books - period.

Hey Shaun, is this like your bike?
https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/mcy/d/la-palma-1996-ducati-900-ss-sp/7874930544.html I figure since Baz is collecting all the good VFR's I might need to look at alternate choices if I were to get a bike.

That's it Scott and at a great price! Very clean!
Let us know how it rides! Edit: I wonder if I should upgrade my gauge cluster, 95 only had tach and speedo but I like the oil temp gauge.

I noticed it's got a salvage title so it was either crashed or stolen and stripped would be my guess.

200+ miles today in the SC and NC mountains. Just awesome (and comfortable) riding on the 08 Calvin. My sport bike days are behind me.

Great looking machine, Jeremy! I really love that yellow and also feel the design is much better than many of the modern sports bikes on the market, including the Honda Interceptors.
My opinion is a sports bike with a "loud color" is very appropriate - just like the Porsche Boxster, and other Porsche models, and other sports cars. Who wants a "boring color" for a fun machine? My first Interceptor (an '87) came White from the factory but had been re-painted very nicely Yellow by the P.O. That Yellow is what drew me to it on the sales lot, in fact. Had it been White, I'm not sure I would have bought it, let alone even noticed it. ![]()

It's just such a weird attempt but it kinda represents "the best" of a certain segment of the Hinckley Triumph era, and there's so few of them. And the Cosworth thing is neat unless you need to buy parts lol.

Not the best picture of the bike, but just finished about 1,200 miles since Friday. Left CO and went up through WYO to the Tetons, down to the Flaming Gorge and then back through UT to CO and home.

I was out riding for a couple of hours on the RC8R, arrived half way up my driveway and the engine stalled. Knowing something is not right because this bike never stalls, I tried to start it up, struggled to crank so I knew the stator or regulator failed. Turns out it was the stator, easy fix. it should be here this week. It's nice when the machine gets you home.

What a great trip that must have been! Were you camping or hotels? Highlights?

Shaun and Baz, I will have to grab some of the pictures, it was pretty great riding weather. The grey Road Glide is mine Choc.
The temps started out in the low 50's each morning and only got up to 70 one day. That made having all the gear on very comfortable. We were with only two other riders, and they are a bit older so we did hotels. I was totally fine with it. Since it was a holiday weekend we stayed in smaller towns were the rates were pretty reasonable. Jackson was going to be very expensive, so we did not stay there. We started Saturday morning in Rawlins, and then rode through Lander to Dubois where we had lunch. Then to Jackson and from there to Pinedale. The Jackson > Pinedale road was gorgeous, a beautiful canyon. I am planning on going to Jackson next summer to explore around it, and I will be doing that ride again. From Pinedale the next morning we went south to the Flaming Gorge and then through Vernal UT and ended up in Craig, which is about 40 miles from Steamboat Springs. It made for a very relaxing Monday ride back through Laramie and home. Mine is a 2018 RG and as mentioned, pretty dang comfortable to put miles on. This was a fun one because there were a lot of twisty roads to go with the long stretches of straight Wyoming roads. For those that followed the other thread, the combination of Ohlins rear shocks and Legend front ones really shined on this trip. I am very happy with those purchases. Let me look for more pictures. Sorry for the book! |

That's a really nice trip! Looking forward to some pics. I wish I had someone to ride around with but so few bikes in MA these days. I suppose I could find a club.
