Reminds me of my first car…. A 71 510 2dr. Back in 85, white with all the chrome blacked out, custom wheels (which I still have) and lowered in the front. One of the first in the area back then. Dropped in an 1800cc and a 200SX 5 speed transmission. In 89, a lady did not see me and pulled right out in front of me. Totaled the car, tweaked my left ankle requiring a steel pin and that right there folks is what it takes to get you kicked out of the US Army and loose a spot in flight school……metal in the ol human body, at least back then it was.

Somewhere in my dark hidden spaces I have that same little silver plane. I've replaced the rubber band a few times so the propellor will turn when the wheels turn. I thought I had the only one...

If anyone sees a hot wheels 2023 40th 4Runner, I'd buy with a little premium and pay shipping!

Sunny skies and 75 degrees made for a perfect fall race.
14 drivers some new and some very experienced raced IROC cars on the 4x16 4 lane track.
It was fun to see some of the first time drivers do very well in their first slot car races.
Running races with 14 drivers and short heats provided plenty of action and smack talking around the track.
Gene is holding races next Sunday and Hutch has a new track that will be ready very soon.
HO racing alive and well in San Diego.

1/24 slots.

Brass and wire chassis stuff from the 1970's (Group 12's). Vintage Cox La Cucaracha and Dynamic line.

Christine the drag car does scale 1/8th mile in 2 seconds.

This is the slot car set that was given to my Pawpaw when he bought the Dodge truck that I have. These sets by Eldon were given by the Dodge dealers. The cars and truck are 1/32 scale. I've had this set since I was 3 years old, I am 57 now. Lol.
