While I am fine with my decision to take the vaccine based on my age and health, I might have felt differently if of childbearing age and certainly would for young children (if I had any).
While people very sick with COVID may regret not being vaccinated and family members of those that died/became very sick after vaccination might regret their decision...I would not allow people making facebook videos convince me either way. One look at the survivability/mortality of unvaccinated, healthy people tells me that is truly not nearly as dangerous to that group as people here pretend...and clearly the silly homemade masks do nothing except provide a basis for more virtue signaling.

Here are a few things I simply do not understand:
- Why isn't the "science" of those who have had CV-19, either asymptomatic or with symptoms, better understood in terms of immunity? We were all told that the actual rate of CV-19 was many millions more than were symptomatic. This is from January: https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/lasting-immunity-found-after-recovery-covid-19 - Why would anyone get the vaccine without first getting a blood test for CV-19 immunity - I did. I have an odd immunity system where vaccines are concerned so I followed "the science" of me and worked with my physician: we decided to get the blood test. I am delighted I did. - The "numbers", the "science". It has been a mess, a hodgepodge of crap from the beginning. I can bring up ten videos of contradictory statements from Fauci, erroneous data and, frankly, complete lies in terms of CV-19 origin, morbidity, etc. - Death rates from CV-19. Anyone have reliable numbers? No one does because we do not know how many people, like me, that have had CV-19 with zero symptoms. I may have had a runny nose. Here: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/covid19/mortality-overview.htm So why, if you are 30 and below, get the vaccine? If you are so inclined at least get the blood test first. - Does the vaccine work? I read the numbers, the percentages, but how do they know? What are the methodologies for gathering the data, the health of those vaccinated, etc. One poster here wrote that they filled out a form during the drive through vaccine. That passes zero sniff tests on relevant collection of data for analysis. Zero. - If it does work, why are the vaccinated worried? Can anyone here explain that? Sorry for the long post but nothing about CV-19, including the "Delta Variant" has made any sense from the beginning. Oh, close the f'ing border if you are remotely serious about CV and the variants. Close the border. now.

He could easily kick your ass.
He has traveled to North Canton three times to fight me. I have won two out of three times. The one time I lost was because I had Birkenstocks on and I did not strap the back and I slipped. He kicked me in the face like seven times. Then we got beers. All good.

From JD's post:
Unfortunately, comparing vaccines on the basis of currently available trial (interim) data is made even more difficult by disparate study protocols, including primary endpoints (such as what is considered a COVID-19 case, and when is this assessed), types of placebo, study populations, background risks of COVID-19 during the study, duration of exposure, and different definitions of populations for analyses both within and between studies, as well as definitions of endpoints and statistical methods for efficacy. Importantly, we are left with the unanswered question as to whether a vaccine with a given efficacy in the study population will have the same efficacy in another population with different levels of background risk of COVID-19. This is not a trivial question because transmission intensity varies between countries, affected by factors such as public health interventions and virus variants. Any of you tough guys want to answer my questions? BTW, the single largest "super spreader" event is happening on the border. Close it or you simply don't care about the future of the human race. Apparently, none of this is a concern anymore. Today, Biden told the world that 350 million Americans were now vaccinated and doing fine, which is more than 100% of us.
So I guess some people got vaccinated twice. Just in case. In any event his comments have assured me that we don’t need to worry about the unvaccinated anymore. Everybody’s got the jab, Biden said so. Last edited by javadog; 08-06-2021 at 03:04 PM.. |
