Um, you just called yourself out? "One of the main factors driving differences in COVID-19 vaccination rates across the country is partisanship."
Not like it's some sort of big mystery but it iust be in your world.

I called myself out? What are you, 22?

I’ll tell you what, Bob, let me see if I can help you out here. Perhaps you’ve heard that correlation is not causation. A fairly self-explanatory statement, perhaps you’ve heard it before.

Maybe conservative people support Trump for the same reason they look skeptically at the vaccine. Maybe they think for themselves, as opposed to blindly trusting others. I happen to believe that liberals are more inclined to believe whatever bull**** you throw their direction, thus the success that CNN had during the Trump administration. There wasn’t a more unreliable news network on television, they literally made **** up that they knew was not true, but their audience bought it hook line and sinker, every day for years.

I have learned that you can’t believe much of anything that the media puts forth. The situation is the same with the government, I don’t believe for a New York minute anything that the CDC puts out, without questioning it first. Liberals seem to eat that up.

Liberals are also far more terrified of Covid than conservatives. That’s because they don’t think, they just buy the bull****.

Think hard Bob, you’ll get there.

Nope.

We should do what Trump did when the CDC said CV-19 was a threat, unlike Biden, Pelosi and KH.

One more time: Seal the border, restrict travel into the US from specific countries, investigate immune responses in depth for those that already have had CV-19 (like me) and provide blood testing for free.

I have to travel to Morocco in November and need proof of a CV negative test 72 hours in advance. Same leaving the country. Why not insist on that here?

Next, find a way for the Rev. Sharptons of the world to make an impact on lagging Black vaccinations.

That is just the start.

Not well as we brought disease without vaccinations?

They brought quite a few diseases and killed off a significant chunk of the indigenous population, as a result. Vaccines did not exist and medicine wasn’t advanced enough to be even remotely useful.

Here’s the point. Our government makes a lot of noise and puts forth all sorts of policies to temper the Covid pandemic. It’s when presented with the information that they are making it vastly worse because of their lack of border controls, they go radio silent, because the immigration is beneficial to them in that it guarantees them future Democrat votes, which is more important than protecting the public.

As it turns out, all they are interested in is more power and more control, and one of those things (immigration) will give them more power and the other thing (policies related to Covid) will give them more control.

They don’t give a **** about you, or me, that’s your first mistake.

Mandatory vaccination.
Vaccine passports to go out in public. Maybe even a mark on your hand or your forehead to prove you are vaccinated.
Those who get sick can be useful for experimental treatments for the future.
Ban group gatherings unless approved the the government.

You can call it "the final solution".

Bad memory or reading skills? Either way, you implicated yourself as one of those "dumbasses"The fact is that it has become a partisan issue. "The really ignorant part is the fact that Trump was largely responsible for facilitating the rapid development of these vaccines and he is vaccinated. Yet, most liberals think that if you supported Trump, you’re more likely to resist a vaccine because of that.

These dumbasses can’t think, even for a minute.

Smugness my foot. Purely transactional. We pay you to serve and protect- us and yourselves. Being the white shirt pencil pusher you claim to be, tell me how you are protecting your minions without requiring about the most simple piece of the protection puzzle there is? Would you cover their workmans comp claim if they didn't wear all the PPE on a medical call. How about letting them go into a fire without their bunkers or on air? Lets see you truthfully fill out claim form where the first thing they ask is whether or not you took all available precautions. Building consensus on a life safety issue? What a joke your fire scenes must look like.
Act like a leader instead of letting your political BS take over.

Being that i pretty much run my dept, I listen to the consensus of tbe people under me, and take tbeir input very seroius. My "employer has stated that they have no intention of making it mandatory.

Do you want to distill that into a cogent point, or two? You’re all over the map on this one.

Why, exactly, am I dumbass?

It would keep the inferior folks from potentially getting gravely ill.

Sure. " Yet, most liberals think that if you supported Trump, you’re more likely to resist a vaccine because of that. These dumbasses can’t think, even for a minute." Clearly it's a partisan issue that you have failed to think about "even for a minute"

No one should be forced to take the the vaccine. Instead, those that refuse the vaccine should be on strict house arrest with ankle monitors and stiff fines leading up to incarceration for violations. These people are a threat to public health and safety of the community. They are acting like toddlers and need to be treated as such.

You keep quoting yourself, for some reason…

Which side of this argument are you on?

There may be a broad correlation between vaccination rates and political parties but if you break it down, it doesn’t hold. There may be more Democrats that are vaccinated and Republicans, but significant factions of the Democrat party are among the most resistant to vaccination.

Then there’s the chicken or the egg question. Are Republicans less vaccinated simply because they are Republicans, or are they more conservative in nature and that’s what’s driving the lower vaccination rates? The fact that they are Republican is irrelevant, it has to do with their conservative nature.

fintstone 08-04-2021 10:34 AM

I see no reason to make vaccination mandatory or impose any "punishment" for not being vaccinated or not wearing a useless diaper on one's face. If they really wanted to prevent the spread of COVID (or other diseases), they would stop importing unvaccinated illegals and shipping them all over the nation without knowing who they are or if they are healthy. In fact, they would gather up as many as they could find and ship them back to their origin.
