You're given an ipod with all of Obama's speeches on it and you have to listen to them all in their entirety. You have to pass a test once you've listened to them all and you need to get at least an 85% or you have to listen to them all again.

I think there was a Night Gallery episode where a person sent to (Christian) hell was forced to sit in a senior couples house and watch their vacation photo slides for eternity.

I’ll tell you what, Bob, let me see if I can help you out here. Perhaps you’ve heard that correlation is not causation. A fairly self-explanatory statement, perhaps you’ve heard it before.

Maybe conservative people support Trump for the same reason they look skeptically at the vaccine. Maybe they think for themselves, as opposed to blindly trusting others. I happen to believe that liberals are more inclined to believe whatever bull**** you throw their direction, thus the success that CNN had during the Trump administration. There wasn’t a more unreliable news network on television, they literally made **** up that they knew was not true, but their audience bought it hook line and sinker, every day for years.

I have learned that you can’t believe much of anything that the media puts forth. The situation is the same with the government, I don’t believe for a New York minute anything that the CDC puts out, without questioning it first. Liberals seem to eat that up.

Liberals are also far more terrified of Covid than conservatives. That’s because they don’t think, they just buy the bull****.

Think hard Bob, you’ll get there.

So Cab cannot criticize the article/author you posted because he doesn't have the required education, but you are capable of questioning the CDC......What background of yours supports that?

Pay attention. When the CDC says one thing, then later on changes their guidance to something diametrically opposed to the first position, you have to wonder why. When they get caught fudging the numbers, ask yourself if that hurt their credibility. Later, when they are tracking some numbers that start to trend away from the administration’s preferred narrative, then they decide out of the blue to quit tracking those numbers, ask yourself with their purpose might be.

Anybody that pays attention can figure those things out.

That does not change your lack of ability to question the better educated on the subject. Or maybe your point to cab was absolute bunk. Hmmmm, I wonder.

Again. It has zero to do with politics. Not every decision in life is "political".

First of all I'm not paid. I'm a volunteer. As a chief, I fall under the towns Board of Fire Commissioners they would make any "vax" call. Not me. They have already stated they have no plans of a mandate. None of the other paid depts around here are issuing mandates.

"My scenes must be a joke"..... For a moment, I'll drop down to your level and tell you to GFYS

My guess is a good part of my family crossed from Europe into Canada and then south to the states- probably not all legally. Immigrants are our greatest assets and given dire enough situations where they come from will do anything to get here.
We tend to forget that the vast majority came as refugees. Virtually everyone that came through Ellis Island was. https://www.history.com/topics/immigration/ellis-island

I don't "tend to forget" anything. I know exactly who and where I came from. Never heard of the Ark and Dove, right?

What you have forgotten are your manners. Go find them. I have the utmost respect for Vinnie. We have never met but I know him, know who and what he is.

I'll stand by that.

Got any rebuttal for my comments regarding the CDC, or do you want to fiddle **** around with bull****?

Ohh, I wanna get in on this.

Mom's side of the family, all from Switzerland and Germany and except for me, my brother, my mother they are all still there.

My Fathers side all came here legally coupla hundred years ago.

No one really knows from where though, it wasn't actually voluntary.

In fact the exact opposite of voluntary but it was legal so I guess that made it ok?

Just because something is legal does not make it fair, moral, ethical, or right.

Flip side of that, not all things that are not legal are wrong.

The legality of a thing gets codified by a given societies morals and ethics which can and do change over time generally for the better but sadly often enough not.

My general approach when confronted with these issues is to ask if it's fair, moral, ethical, and I worry about the legality last because when it conflicts with the first part, IMHO, it's time to change the legality of the thing.

Both sides of mine came over from near Stuttgart about 60-70 years before there even was a USA. I "think" the USA just "took" a couple of thousand acres from one of them after the traitors won
