Tesla is still the fastest production car in the world. It just cracks me up how so many people just can not stand this fact!! Hey! How about talking about how the Tesla will get lost in the corners!! I don’t think that matters much. Other cars will get lost on the straight a ways!!!

The fastest in exactly 1 aspect. acceleration.
Not endurance, not cornering, not handling, not in braking, not top speed. (and for sure not in the looks department) So yeah, whoop whoop, BFD. I'd rather drive a slow 992 turbo ANY FÖCKIN' DAY OF THE WEEK, and twice on Sundays, than a Tesla. So there.

Comparing apples to oranges, EV has full torque from zero rpm, no contest really, pointless comparison
I'd rather have a 'slower' ICE car with bags of character and driver involvement than another poorly built appliance in my garage If you want to get factual, the Tesla is not the fastest production car in the world as the fastest car is defined by top speed not acceleration

As an appliance, for 'daily' use, I can definitely see owning an EV, but as my 'car', an EV is not what I want.

See? You guys can not stand it!!! In my original post I just said fast! Not endurance. The Tesla 4 doors kind of make a Lamborghini’s swoops, hoops, swirls , scoops, intakes, massive exhausts, turbo charging just not necessary. Every time I see a duel motor Tesla model 3 now I always say to myself, that little car is as fast as most 911’s!!

The next electric supercars we will be seeing is the lucid Air. Right now it is featured in season 4 of Goliath with Billy Bob. It’s only shown at night in black but my God!!!! It is beautiful. Check out Lucid Air.

Lets see,
A car parts forum. Car parts are generally for older cars. If you're needing factory stock parts for a new car...probably bought the wrong new car. That means that most here are going to be interested in older cars. Newer cars have gotten faster and faster. Yet here we are with the older ones. That a new car went down a drag strip at X-N faster than other new car that did X isn't the drama to folks here that some seem to fantasize about. Even in computer games where I can drive multi million dollar super cars I gravitate towards the <250HP vehichles. |

[QUOTE]many of you guys say BFD , the Tesla goes fast. Like who needs fast? I have been reading on this forum now for 11 years , guys have sunroof delete, Console delete, back seat delete, AC delete and light weight battery and computer chip all to make our air cooled 911’s faster. [/I I love my 85 911, I just think it’s cool that Tesla has made such a great car. When the Tesla sports car comes out, that puppy will be very quick. And fast. QUOTE]

To the guy who said that the Tesla was quick, not fast, Tesla did the Nurburgring in 7 minutes 35.579. So, one of the fastest and quickest cars in the world.

I was in a lane that would end, light went green. We both went full throttle. I got ahead of him, but was not going to comfortably clear by the time the lane ended. I tucked in behind. Made me laugh then. Still making me laugh now. |

Well, I had a 77 924. One of the most horrible , slowest cars on earth. I was going up a grade in San Diego and a 1967 bug came next to me ,girl smiled and went by me!! I downshifted to third but the girl with the pony tail was long gone. Big 924 had like 110 horses. Sold 924.

Anyone ever notice how the dash of 924’s would explode from the sun?

A 1986.5 Supra non-turbo I had was advertised at 0-60 in 7.7 seconds, like that was fast.

I've been laughing throughout the day:
What would it be like to go on a patchwork quilting forum and make a thread about quilts from Wal-Mart that are cheaper and better than quilts sold at Target. It'd probably be even funnier to wait a little and then go back and say the people on the patchwork quilting forum can't stand it that Wal-Mart has the cheapest quilt. It'd look a real clown to do the second part. The first car photo that every grabbed my attention was of a Duesenberg Auburn Speedster. The way the fenders trailed back, the exposed exhaust, it was amazing in that photo. Whenever a faster car came out the owner still had peice of rolling art to enjoy. |
