I expect each case is different, but my read is you are infectious for 2-3 days before significant symptoms and 3-4 days after for a total of 5-7 days.

I also think the time frame of being infectious will depend on whether you are vaccinated or not. I was definitely infectious on the Monday when I tested negative, as I was informed that my two plant operators got Omicron by Friday/Saturday.

Much better, James, thanks for asking! Other than sleeping a lot more than usual, I'm 90% back to feeling normal.

I spoke to my brother this morning who had the Delta or original Covid before he had a chance to get vaccinated and was quite sick at the time...lost taste and smell, etc. He said that it took months to get his energy back all the way and is just starting to feel normal now, maybe 6-7 months later(?) So I'm going to be patient and give it time. A couple of my ski buddies went up to Big Bear today and invited me, I'm not feeling quite up to that just yet.

Got my Moderna booster yesterday. Sore arm, a little insomnia last night and some soreness but passed by noon today.

What surprised me was an email from CVS that informed me of the batch number and expiration date of my vial of vaccine.

Expiration: 12/2069. I’ve never heard of an expiration on a drug that far out!

My guess is it's a default number used when there is no defined date.

It is with a sad heart that I write this. My Dad passed away this morning, he was 82 and today he would've been in the hospital 2 weeks with covid. The last report I got last night was that he was doing good. He went into cardiac arrest this morning. My Dad was a healthy person, never once had any heart issues, never in the hospital for anything.
I am angry, I am sad, I am all over the place emotionally, and I am headed to Florida to be with my Sister.
Thank y'all for your prayers.

Thank you all for the support. We are going to the funeral home to make the arrangements today. Have to go through his house and go through things. He was a Methodist Minister and lived in the provided parsonage and I will have to find out what sort of timeline we have for getting his things. I plan on being in Defuniak for at least the week. He has a 38ft Mountain Aire/Newmar motorhome that we will have to find a new home for. Lots of little things that i will need to help my sister with.
Thanks again for the condolences and the support.

Marty, My condolences to you for the loss of your father. So very hard to lose a loved one.

Denis, I'm glad you are feeling better.

I went back to work last Monday. Things went pretty good with the exception of congestion and a cough that just won't go away. That is when i remembered that I always seem to have congestion and a cough this time of year. It is usually a couple of weeks from now. Allergies!! Zyrtec once a day in the evening before bed is the thing that has helped me tremendously. I never used to have allergies. None!

Hey Dan, glad to hear that you are recovering. I'm having the exact same experience with my allergies blowing up and taking Zyrtec every day. But that's a chronic problem, no real relation to Covid that I'm aware of.

Otherwise, I feel great. Really grateful.

Wow! You're finally out of the woods. Congrats. Here's hoping you got an antibody boost and don't have to put up with that again, but it sucks we may have to live with this thing.
