I hope that you feel better soon as well. I'm on day 5 and it's about the same...woke up this morning and made some breakfast, read the internets and that wore me out enough to go back to sleep for 6 hours.

I guess I am joining the list too. I tested positive this morning. Also, can't smell a damn thing! I have no idea where I got it. Probably from one of our customer's cars.
This is almost exactly two years to the day when I know I had it the first time. No one really knew what covid was at that time.
I am fully vaccinated AND boosted.

Thanks man. I actually feel pretty good compared to yesterday. I think I have gone through an entire roll of TP for nose blows since yesterday.
I also believe that since I have already had it (covid) and am fully vaccinated my body is already kicking it's ass.
Denis, I hope you are doing well too. Not trying to hijack your thread.

Not at all, Dan! I hope that you feel better quickly. This would be a good place to keep track of who on the board is going through this right now.

Day 14 from first symptoms

Finally my sinuses are fully clearing up. All that is left is the final stages of laryngitis. The hardest thing for me is "shutting up" and not talking to let the vocal cords heal.

Glad to hear that you're almost there, James! Keep it up and shut the hell up already! Channel your inner 14yo and text everything, even to people that are in the room with you. LOL!

Awesome!

I'm feeling like being in the boonies is a good call right now. My wife watches the grandkids (one is old enough for kindergarten) 4 days most weeks (stays with the kids in their home). Our daughter and Son-in-law are a physicians assistant and fireman (who spends most of his time in an ambulance and is also going to school for his paramedic cert). There are times reading about covid where I almost feel like telling her to either come home and stay or stay there. But, I wouldn't want her to stay away, and I understand why she watches the kids, so we're just going to continue playing that Omicron Roulette and hope for the best. Fortunately, we're both vaxed and boosted, so it will hopefully just suck for a bit.

Come back from the boonies and covid's waiting for you. What to do? The booster sucks and may not work vs covid, which sucks.

The progression of variants is trending towards being less deadly, but is that necessarily the case? The spanish flu of 1918 returned with a far more deadly variant.

I'm hoping you guys get well soon. I guess my wife & I were lucky. We were both vaxxed & boosted. Our experience was really light. I tested positive on a Saturday, felt a bit off Sunday & Monday, & started feeling better Tuesday, & completely Ok starting Wednesday. My wife went through the same cycle a few days later than I. We also didn't experience anything uncomfortable from the injections. Hang in there & wishing you the best!

Day 7

Day 7 here and feeling so-so, appetite is good but energy level sucks and still testing positive as of yesterday, so can't get back to even an abbreviated version of normal life. Actually, appetite never went away. Sleeping probably 12-14 hours a day in shifts.

I went on a walk yesterday, it was 75 degrees out and it was nice. Going to tinker with cars a little today, just can't be around people yet.

Denis, virus do not like sunshine. At the least read a good book out in the sunshine.

Sounds like you are on the mend, best to ya.

I am feeling better and better. Slight cough still. Mildly swollen lymph nodes in the armpits, but upright and mobil. Taking care of the wife now too.
We have our bed bugs to take care of us.

Having done a career in water treatment, UV kills virus nearly instantly. Contact time in process significantly exceeds antivirus capability of chlorine/chloramine. Good stuff.
