I collect and wear vintage pocket watches. Bulova, Hamilton, Illinois Walthams and Elgins are my favorites. Most are 100 years old, still run and keep excellent time for their age.

Holy moly!!! Great to see that you're still around and checkin' in from time to time!

Unfortunately it doesn't run. One of these days I'll have to find a good watch guy to get it running. I'll never use it, but it would be nice for it to be functional.

It says 14kt, so I suspect it's solid, not filled or plated. It's fairly small (size 6) which was usually carried by women.

Yeah I'm fed up with other unsociable media...wow that's a beauty. I have a great watch guy here in PA. $125 to completely service that gem of yours. His name is Mark Sirianni. Known as the Watch Doctor. Always treats me right. Has done a half dozen for me. Straight up guy. Here is a link.

I alternate between a Rolex Submariner (~25+ years old) and a Seiko Pepsi watch (50 years old).

I just sold my Glycine Airman Base 22. Same as yours but a white dial. Really cool watch but I just never wore it because I didn't want to scratch it I've sold off all of my vintage automatics/mechanicals and now collect various micro brand watches. There's so much high-quality stuff out there for a fraction of the price of the vintage mechanical stuff. I mainly look for watches with the Seiko Meca-quartz movement (the sweep second hand is smooth like a mechanical). Set it and forget it! Here's a few of them ...

Yeah, there's something to be said for a quality quartz watch that keeps essentially perfect time for many years. I'd like another Airman, one of the models where the entire face is SL. I think Invicta bought Glycine. It looks like they have watered them down a bit. If I ever buy another it'll have to be something older. I'm unlikely to spend the money to buy an older one.

I still wear a mechanical self-winding chronometer from Breitling. Yes, it has no practical use given my smart watch and phone.

I sold both of my Rolex Subs a year or so ago. Too much money on my wrist and the sale bought some much needed car parts. I replaced them with a diver from Christopher Ward. A boutique watchmaker from England. So far I've been happy. It keeps good time, feels great on the wrist and was reasonably priced for what it is.

I'm a thin build, so I don't like watches that are thick. They 'catch' on almost everything, so I go for a slim face watch, which are Skagens.

Skagen makes good stuff, thin, light, sleek, functional. Years ago, I had one with a titanium body and the stainless mesh band and I loved it.

I have a Casio G shock that I wear 24/7. It doesn't come off ever unless the band breaks. My last Timex Ironman snapped off when it got caught with my back pack strapping while we were in China on a small boat off the branch of the Yangtze River. It drove me nuts for three weeks without it. Finally when we got to Hong Kong, the next morning I bought a Casio and its been on my wrist for the past 4.5 years now. Beauty about this is that its solar charging. All I ask for in a watch is the date, day of the week, and time.

The first couple times of wearing a mesh band...I almost quit the thing. After using it a while I found it to be super comfortable and non-sweaty as a leather one is.
Now I can fasten that thing like nothing.

Yes...Skagens are great watches.

I like a leather strap on a watch. They look great, but for me, in my hot, humid environment, I can really only get away with wearing them in the winter or occasionally. If I wear one daily, and sweat on it, the leather ends up stained and smelly. I have converted to rubber straps. I nice Italian rubber strap smells like vanilla. I also wear the metal bracelet at times just to change things up.

If you own a watch specifically purchased or worn for driving your vintage 911, share a photo and thoughts.
I never put a thought into which watch to wear with a certain car. Under $5k, I would go with Omega, Speedmaster or Seamaster. If you are tinkering with your car while wearing a watch, Seamaster because it is more robust. Once, I had to change a fan belt in the dark, so my watch got banged around.

This one getting good reviews on youtube. Korean made. Pitzman automatic chronograph. Evidently a higher quality Seiko made movement. Beware of it being mugger bait...close resemblance to a Daytona. No, not for this old man...

I wear an old, first gen Citizen Eco-Drive titanium chronograph. Not specifically purchased to wear with my silver Targa, but it fits. Personally, I think that any older analog, round-dial, non-plastic watch seems to pair well with a 911...
