G'day!
|
Well, it's now after 11pm and it's 83 freaking degrees out!
It's because we did not get a late afternoon rainstorm today, as we did the last 2 days. Not the end of the world - typical for Florida this time of year.

95° today and high humidity. I don’t know what the feels like temperature was today, but I was dying, working on a house I’m building. And it’s only mid June! 🥵

Mid-America Motorworks in Effingham, IL hit by a tornado. They used to supply Porsche items - in fact I had purchased some of their merch. - but dropped Porsche items in 2010 or so to focus only on Corvette and VW.

103F right now at my front door.
I just got back from doing some work at one of my accounts and had to duck inside the truck 3 different times to let my head cool back down. Fortunately my truck AC is working great!

We are having an early summer heat wave here in Lincoln, Nebraska. Right now it is 99° out and humid. Hopefully the extreme heat will cook some of the humidity out of the air.

Morning heat - coming in from the East. My cat has breakfast and then goes outside. About 2 hours later she wants back in. Comes in and completely prone lays down on the LR rug....lol.
There's shade in the front in the afternoon......so she'll go out and sleep on the deck. I think the warmth feels good on her bones.

High of 68, low of 55 and cloudy in the PNW, we had a couple "hot" days in the 80's last week.
Lots of marine air pushed in, cooled us off and it has rained enough to reduce wild fire hazards for now. There is at least one serious fire threatening the little town of Winthrop over on the East side of the North Cascades highway. Here's hoping it gets quenched soon!
