Supposed to be breezy and mid 70s here for the foreseeable future. Finished my weed whacking/ cutting/trimming for fire danger mitigation yesterday. Now it's on to other, Spring chores/projects.

Woke up to 36F!

Temps have been only getting into the low 60's the last few days, I had to turn the furnace back on.

It was 90 degrees on Monday. It was in the 50s yesterday and today.

With no doubt, I have have to switch the thermostat from heat to AC and back more times this spring than ever before. It is not a major chore to move a little slider switch on the thermostat. No coal to shovel, or oil burners to fire up, or wood to chop.

It is just bizarre how many times I have had to change it this spring.

The summer solstice is barely a month away and I too am still using heat in the evenings. It's barely been in the 60's. Right now it's 52!!

Sunny, high 70s, and 50+ kWh days for the forseable future. Didn't have to pay the power company a penny again for this past year for the house and wife's car.

Congrats, Marv - that's fantastic!

This break in the weather was very welcome as it seems our summer started a little early this year. What a great night last night after the rains and wonderful this morning with that slight breeze. One or two more days, fingers crossed!

Cooler here also. Actually put on a sweatshirt to walk the dog yesterday morning! Although I love the heat, it was a pleasant break from it. In general, I’d much rather sweat than shiver!

Calm, clear, and high 80s here. Tomorrow I'll wash my solar panels. I'm seeing the coming El Nino forecast is indicating we'll have a wetter than usual season coming up. Although we're doing OK rain wise, some extra will always be welcomed.

Marv, I'm seeing an average to a slightly bit cooler as far out as Accuweather goes. But I remember getting some of the Monsoon weather that is typical east of us in Aug. It can freakin' pour when that happens. I had part of a roof off for a remodel/addition in '74 and I'll never forget that night. Never ever forget that night. We saved most of it but we had water running across hardwood floors. Plastic and staples were flying. Finally got a kluge chute built to catch water coming off the roof and laid my head down about 4 am only to be up at 6.

I never went on a job w/o plastic after that. Middle of any month, I had plastic and tarps weren't far away.

What a nightmare, Milt. Of course in '74, you were more able to handle something like that. Water on a hardwood floor is a nightmare. I had to replace a small section caused by a leak inside a wall caused by a leaking scupper. We used to have summer downpours for about ten minutes in the past, but not for a while now. I'm hoping for some of that action in the upcoming months.

Well we finally got the substantial rains that have been in the forecast for days on end now.

Not a frog choker mind you - but good enough to drop the temp down to 75!

I'm hoping we get more this week!
