Just came back from the range. This is a pretty tight group of 12 rounds at 25' through my SIG Pro 2340 in .357.

I'm guessing the German thingy eliminates the possibility of ever being able to go so fast that you fly off the track. So, top speed could go up...but safety factor goes way up - in my book, more threat of gruesome death means more fun.

Alpine Slide wins!!!

Actually the one pictured was in Austria. It was fairly safe, no coming off the track but you could run into the guy in front of you.

The one I rode outside Munich on the other hand was quite dangerous. It wasn't on rails and I actually fell over at high speed and had to quickly get back on track as someone was coming not to far behind. I had a nice bit of road rash on my elbow from the fall.

That looks more like the Alpine Slide I am familiar with.

Hmm - may have to take a trip to Mountain Creek NJ or Camelback in the Poconos and give it another go!

Ah, concert shots. Here's Eddie Van Halen in 1988 at the Spectrum. I had 3rd row.

The car I almost bought instead of my 911. It was gutted inside and more of a pure track car. I already have that. So I passed.
