Got one a few weeks ago, but found it after it was hard boiled.

Looks sweet Baz!! Looks like a great upgrade. Had I not just had all four calipers rebuilt to factory sweetness by PMB Performance, I'd confider it.

Thanks, Bugs. I had track fever back then and was trying to do a few things while still leaving the car driveable around town. The car definitely stopped when you hit the brakes.

Not sure if you could do it how I did very easily now - at least with the 951 setup. I bet those parts are as scarce as hen's teeth, but someone here who knows more (like BVD) might correct me. But I'm sure you could upgrade with other Brembo kits.

The rotors came from a company called Wildwood and I also upgraded the master cylinder.

BTW, I just had all the brake calipers rebuilt on the 914 plus a new MC and it is so nice! I love having good brakes!

I'll be darned. Just out of curiosity I checked eBay and found these...pretty reasonable too!

You'd still have to get the larger rotors, MC, and the Fuchs with the extra clearance inside.

Thanks Baz,

That is a good deal. I however spent my PCar allocation in plating from True6. I think I'm good on the Fuchs though. The second PO tarted it up to look like a Turbo Carrera with all the trimmings.

Thanks for the intel.... will kick it around. I guess I could sell off the restored calipers to fund the conversion. I have front and rears fully restored, new pads, new rotors and D.O.T. SS braided lines.

Decisions, decisions

Bugs,,,,keep what you have - it wouldn't be worth the cost to do what I did now, especially given how you have just restored your brakes. The factory brakes are very good and I was only doing what I did for track events.

Up in the North Cascades after an early season over nighter Monday/Tuesday this week.
Apparently the Buck was finished with them... first set or even single antlers I've ever seen out in the wild that were not connected to a deer.
The are beautiful, almost like they were carved out of wood.

Emotional night ahead alert.... youngest moving out tomorrow into his first apartment and getting married in June. Still working full time and going to school full time too. The Wife is a basket case/frazzle brained. Cat is even walking around howling. Interesting how critters can sense change.

All very true guys....you know it actually took me 'till the end of the day before I realized I was wearing one ankle high and one standard sock!

Installed some drip irrigation today working off the domestic water supply. It won't use much water so no sense in investing in a well and pump or a dedicated irrigation meter. Also, with the Hunter NODE unit, no 120v needed to run the valve!

I never mounted one of these timers above ground before. I like it!
