Taken a few minutes ago. A Bald Eagle juvenile landed about 50 feet from my home office with lunch. Looks looks like a rabbit. I have been watching the carnage without interrupting him or her for half an hours through bino's.

We have at least three nests on the farm.

Picked up a few bamboo today. These are going in at my house. I think someone just bought the empty lot behind me and at some point are going to build. I need a partition!

These are 15 gal. size and I will split them with a sawzall to make 8 plants. Probably plant at 6' centers

I planted some golden bamboo in the back yard about 30 years ago. It took over the neighbor hood and torqued off all the neighbors. I think we finally got it all pulled up. That stuff took off underground and did not stop.

This guy ( girl? I don't know how to tell the difference) was a frequent visitor to a tree near the deck at my house in Vermont..

You could have had "running" bamboo, Jolly....instead of "clumping". Huge difference. I'd never use "running" myself....too invasive!
