I second that Bill, 2nd shot down with a long exposure and the sunshine splashes here and there is sublime!

My lovely wife and I got out for a walk yesterday, we parked at the East end of the Oso slide disaster area and walked back West through it. We continued another couple miles before turning back.

There are now entry/exit memorials built on the mile or so of paved trail in the area.
Fantastic job on them!, within the rock cages that anchor the structures are 43 butterflies painted on rocks and randomly placed one for each soul lost in this event.

This place always brings a sense of awe when you see how a waterlogged mountain side fell and completely wiped out a small community.
I also shiver just a bit thinking how my Son and I were some of the last people to drive past before the entire area was inundated by water, rocks, trees and sand.
We were spared by less than a hours time and had no idea about it until we hiked back to cell signals the next day.
