My old truck and my wife's car both expired a couple of weeks ago. This weekend we both got our new to us used cars.

Hers a 2015 Prius with 57,000 miles, mine a 2012 Infinity G37X (AWD) with 102,000 miles. They cost roughly the same.

The Infinity G37X is an incredible car, not sure why it's been such a secret to me before now.

Test drove a Chrysler Crossfire, rev limiter on 1st and 2nd gear made the car no fun.

Despite the G37X being an automatic it launches like a rocket and just as good passing trucks on the highway - too much fun.

Considered a second generation Audi TT, but I sobered up just in time.

Selling my old gravely. I dont use it enough to keep it. Plus its freaking dangerous. Got it for free from a neighbor a few years ago. I hit a rock the size of a softball and it threw it 50 feet. The old blade on it exploded and cut gashes in the deck 6" long through 1/8" plate. Its an older rope start model converted to electric. Its cool but it can go away

Congratulations on the new Rides.

Sold my old DR Brush mower ($400) from the late '80s/early 90s. It was great but took a real brutish effort to manuever on my property. I bought a string mower I like much better.

Hope you didn't have to make that call Steve!

I've been working on a gazebo build at a buddies house, back in the trees a ways I found this, it was "stored" face down by his FIL probably 40 years ago.
I was just thinking recently another metal storage container for flammables might be a good idea... maybe this could work

Patina level is acceptable, door still opens, no A/C components left in the down below, that could also be storage...
Staged for a good cleaning and full assessment/pimping up and out.

You’ll need to do something about that mechanical door latch.

The tag on it identified it as a DR Field and Brush Mower. Do't know if there's a connection between DR & Roof. Other than being old, it worked like a new one. I still have the Assembly & Operator's Manual as a PDF.

Had one of these (beers) and found one of these (egg cases) while wading in the tidal flat.

Sittin at home, convalescing from Laparoscopic hernia mesh install (with the molded in 6 pack) and pining away for the Fjord like environs of North Cascades.

Horsing around with wall blocks, 40 lb kayaks, pavers by the hundreds and living life caught up with me.
Likely a bit genetic too, older brother had to get patched about 20 years ago as well.

Early Oct 2019 had clear cold air, no buckin fugs and no crowds in the local hills.

Thanks Pete!!

Sofa, so good.
As of this hour I'm 7 days post op, haven't blown out anything, weened off the serious meds a day early and feeling stronger each day.
Instructions are "resume normal activities as tolerated" sounds like a challenge and I've consistently found the "not tolerable" point daily.
After I listed my "normal" activities he put the kibosh on all 2 wheeled adventures and kayaks, and blah blah blah- Basically no exercise other than walking.
Walking it is then.

Bigfoot?
Absolutely, size 12 feet, well over 6'

There were other sightings

Colonial Peak with it's summit obscured and Pyramid Peak always look amazing with first snow, so clean and fresh.
They promise water for future fun.
Sooo lucky out here in many ways... WF smoke has not impacted us yet this year, and we got a very decent snowpack so lakes, reservoirs and such on the west side are in great shape. Wish that was true for my southern neighbors!
