I think "wakens" makes more sense than "weakens".
When God's anger wakens even the mighty shall fall.

I was hoping Tigh was going to die of alcohol poisoning or something.
I'll think he'll have a come to jesus moment and rededicate himself to killing cylons.

Ok, my wife and I finally got caught up yesterday!!
We watched seasons one and two over the last couple months and TiVoed this season. We lost the first 3 episodes due to the frackin TiVo deleting them, but I think we caught the drift of what happened. I'll go back and watch those episodes if they replay em at some point. What an awesome series. Even my wife likes it, although she wishes there was more romance. I have to say that scene of the BSG jumping into the atmosphere and burning up as it fell and launched fighters was just awesome. Baltar is starting to get on my nerves...I mean how much loonier can the guy get?? Even with a six in his brain that seems to exist to be his own pretend blow up doll....yeesh man. And with the not being able to tell a cylon...come on. Simple solution. Have a big orgy and just pick out the ones with the red lights on their backs...duh. Overall an excellent show. I have a feeling some high level characters will turn out to be cylons...I don't think Baltar is one, he was able to go into the diseased ship without getting sick, although he was in a space suit the whole time. I thought Adama might be one in season 1, but that would just be a little too far from the original show...almost like Superman killing people or something. You just can't do it. So, my money is on Lee's squeeze, whatever her name is. She's a sleeper agent and will be activated soon, maybe to take out Lee. I'm glad Lee got back into shape, whatever computer program or makeup they used to make him a pilsbury dough boy was terrible. Oh, and someone buy Tigh a friggin eyepatch. That piece of gauze is annoying. He needs a patch to be a true pirate...ARGH Mateys!!

I rather liked that the Base Ship actaully is a person...kinda.
My theory about the 5 unseen models of cylons: They are Olympian (colonial) gods. nah...that would be a kick, but undoubtedly it is just a device by the writers so they can add more characters later.

Interesting twist...the five unknown models: "We don't talk about them." Where is Sam? Baltar seems to have the "projecting" down pretty well, huh?

The other five models must have a problem being what they are. They either took some base stars and left for earth a while ago - possibly leaving the virus object or they could not take being cylon/human. Either way, I think they are counter to whatever the main group of cylons are doing.
The remaining fives numbers are random, right? They aren't 1-5 or 8-12 are they?

I personally think they will turn Tigh around. Eventually he will kick the habit, get himself a cool @ss eyepatch and come out to whoop some cylon arse. Nothing better than a guy with an eyepatch.

Has any one been keeping count of the base star death toll? There is the 2 that Pegasus took out with the ramming. The one taken out this episode by the disease, the one that Sharon blew up with a nuke over Kobol....and I am sure I am missing a few featured in the show, not to mention any that Pegasus destroyed "off camera" when it was still a "pirate" ship. Anyone want to add any?

Pegasus actually took out three during the Caprica II battle. One as a suprise when she jumped in, the other two by ramming.
They also took out at least two during the Resurrection ship episode. For some visceral reason, I'm going to miss Pegasus.

I was bummed when they destroyed the Pegasus. It was a cooler looking ship than Galactica. I was kinda hoping that Galactica would get blown up and then the Pegasus would be the only one left.
Course then calling the show Battlestar Galactica would be kinda silly...

Regarding Tigh - my wife chimmed in on the subject matter the other day --
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Would it be interested if Tigh allied with Tom Zarek? That way, Zarek would have some military backing - which is something he knows he doesn't have, but wants dearly. That would certainly add some internal conflict, now wouldn't it? -Z-man.

Fuel for the fire:
Why are the Cylons trying to find Earth and settle there? 1) They are bad people and want to cleanse them 2) The "other" Cylons kicked out the "human" cylons and they are outcasts, juts like the Humans....

I think the toasters were just lying to Baltar. They know the humans are heading for Earth. They figure if they get there first they can nuke Earth like they did the other 12 colonies, and then wait for the humans to eventually show up, and kill them when they arrive.
