I wanted to post again to remind people that not all Christians have the same views as one closed minded person here. Love thy neighbor refers to everyone, of every race, religion, nationality, etc. Please, please, please don't hold all Christian people in the same catagory as this guy.

Jesus had some pretty social democratic, even soclialist leanings Alfred. What do you think about concepts like social tolerance (live and let live, let he is without sin cast the first stone) taxation (render unto Ceaser) and wealth redistribution (rich man, kingdom of heaven, eye of a needle)

Mike- Come on buddy... Do you condemn all of Islam because of the actions of a few terrorists? How about the same standard for Christians.

In all my life, some as a Christian and some as not, I have never met another Christian like Alfred. I know "they" existed out there somewhere, but I have never had contact with one. To call Alfred's views in the minority would be a gross overstatement.

In fact, I seriously question the sincerity of Alfred's posts. A true Christian could not have views like this. I'd bet this guy is an atheist with the sole purpose to give Christians a bad name. If not, his actions will surely be judged by God. This guy does not represent mainstream Christianity, by a llloong shot.

My luck has been different making me realize that sizeable chunk of christians think like alfie, then again I have been around a lot of southern baptists.

Usually you have to probe them a bit or have them think you are like minded soul before they will open up and share their more offensive beliefs.

The funny part is that just like alfie they can find some bible passages to justify their bigotry.

I went to school in Alabama (couldn't stand the Gators ), which is the real S. Baptist territory... Again, I stand by my statement... Alfred ain't typical.

Honestly, your posts on Christianity and Christians have always confused me. I am a Christian and I know many other Christians (in fact I'd bet, many more and better, than you know ). Yet, when I read your posts I always wonder how you could think so lowly of people like myself. Seriously, you'd think, by reading your posts, that we/I am just plain evil, horns and all. It's just not the case.
