Dump and chase is mandatory when you see 4 of the opposing team lined up at the blue line.
I'm sure that the Ducks/Preds will have plenty of the nasty. It will not be boring. If the Pens start losing too much look for Mongo um, I mean Malkin or Letang to show some extra love against the boards. |

Pittsburgh papers said for the most part the got thru the trap consistently, homers? When you're offensively challenged you do what you can to win. Not even sure if I'll be able to watch the game this evening as I'm out of town again. Last nights game was really good. Rinne looked human. Serious will be nasty by the end and may go 7. |
The Pens did not move through the neutral zone well. Not at all. No flow, not a lot of scoring chances. Crosby was a non-factor.
The Sens pinch aggressively, any shoot-in would be an icing or a shot on net. They are hard to play against. The Sens also made the most of their chances, which they will need to do every game in order to win. |
Mongo - Had to chuckle at that one Joe

They won't be getting any help from Letang. May be done for good.
|
Oh that's right. I forgot about Letang's injury. I guess its up to Mongo now. I don't remember any other enforcers on the Pens.
Does anyone know what is up with Doc Emrick? He was sick and missed last night's game. |
Sens should be winning 4-0. They're playing Wilkes Barre-Scranton.

While I don't like the Sen's, I thought if they had won game to they would have sweep the series. |
The Pens depleted back-end just "ain't up to snuff". The Sens are for all the world looking to be the team that will advance. Preds/Ducks tilt should have some fireworks to night c/w obligatory post whistle scrums which when all is said & done, prove nothing & are a waste of time & effort. I just hope it isn't a blow-out & the game being essentially in the books after 15 mins. - but as someone once said -"it ain't over.......

Well so far the Pens look like the fork was taken out...they don't look done yet.
|
The Pens have a lot of front end scoring talent. IF the Sens can get their scoring going the Pens blue line is weak and will get worn out as the number of post season games goes on. The Sens have got to step up this next game or they will be toast.
The Preds went from the being the kid most likely to win the cup to chump change with the injury to Johansen. :( |
Concerning the Sens: I think I smell burnt toast.
The Preds played some amazing hockey to take game 5. My buddy will be at #6 and is hoping to see the next Western Conference winner crowned that night. I hope he brings ear plugs. That place was loud when I saw them play the Bruins earlier this year. I can't imagine what it is like now. I think I read 129 db. |

Geez -I know what I'm talking about......

a) the Pens forwards cover up the weaknesses of their defense, they come down low and dig the puck out, they chip the puck out at every opportunity
b) Sends made it pretty easy for the Penguino's yesterday c) a) was foreseeable, b) was not |
Even the blind pig finds the corn once in a while. :D

Well game 7. Baring a crazy bounce or Andersen stealing another game, (he was lights out Tuesday night), or a Sen cheapshoting to the point of the recipient leaving the game the Pens should win.
Happy hockey watching boys ! |

Glad that the SCF will be done by the time my Pens-fan BIL comes for his annual visit. I won't have to be gracious two years in a row! |
A game that had its share of moments. Who do you guys like in the final? I'm kinda leaning towards a Pens repeat although the joker in the deck is Rinne.
Cheers JB |
