You guys are both right. The Canucks (my team, BTW) had their window a few years back when they had the stars - Naslund and Bertuzzi on the front line, Jovanovski and Ohlund on defence, they only lacked a solid goalie. Now they have the goalie but lost the fast play and great shooting abilities. They went as far as they should have - not bad, but not at all a cup contender. A shame, really, but nothing we're not used to. :(

As far as I'm concerned, the playoffs are over. I couldn't care less who wins now.

What a display!!! Now get to sit back and root for whomever, maybe a bit for the 'Canes so the Pens can have home ice.

GO PENS!!!!!!!!

911Rob 05-14-2009 11:45 AM

So? What's it gonna be?
Who's in the finals now?

(sorry no TV here)

Porsche_monkey 05-14-2009 01:19 PM

Pens are in the semi finals, so are the Blackhawks.

Winner of Bruins vs. Carolina moves on tonight. As does the winner of Ducks vs. Red Wings.

exitwound 05-14-2009 01:22 PM

I would like to see the Pens, Hawks, Canes, and Ducks play. I'd be for the Penguins all the way, but I'd be happy if any of those teams won.

911boost 05-14-2009 01:24 PM

Screw that. I hate the Neidermeyers or however you spell their name. Rob is a dirty little ***** player, and has always been. The crap the Ducks pulled at the end of Game 6 was unacceptable.

I think the Wings are going to come out flying tonight.

turbocarrera 05-14-2009 01:25 PM

Bruins/Hawks final? A cool O6 matchup that has never happened - bit of a longshot though. Die Detroit die.

911boost 05-14-2009 01:26 PM

I'd be ok with Hawks / Bruins Final. I loathe the ducks.

Go Wings.

Dees 911 05-14-2009 01:33 PM

I'd like to see someone other than the Ducks and the Redwings, but the Bruins would be horrendous. Boston people are obnoxious enough without hockey, can you imagine if they took the cup?

Super_Dave_D 05-14-2009 08:44 PM

Two great game 7's tonight........Man the Bruins / Canes was an awesome game!!!! Especially the outcome! Go Canes!!!!

Por_sha911 05-14-2009 08:48 PM

The Bruins didn't want it bad enough. Even with 2 of the Canes best Centers out, the Canes kept winning faceoffs and Chara got flatfooted.

No worries, mate! Bruins will be playing golf while the Pens and Canes battle for the East. Go Canes!!!

UN - B - leevable ending. Scott Walker scoring the winning goal in overtime is just poetic.

There are a lot of ex-Canes that I like seeing back in town, even if they are playing for other teams. Aaron Ward doesn't happen to be one of them. Other than Ward's whining and Chara's cheap shots after whistles, it was a pretty clean series. I guess it just goes to show how being a #1 seed guarantees nothing. You have to play and there were times when Boston didn't have the fire.

Fortunately, the Canes seem to play better when everything is on the line, but how many game sevens has a team endured and gone on to win a cup?

I agree...I think they might need to get a new rabbits foot! Go Canes!

GothingNC 05-15-2009 05:04 AM

What an intense "cardiac" game last night:cool:

Canes have a wonderful way getting back in after being pushed into the brink of elimination.

Go Canes !!!

Do not underestimate the team or Cam Ward. Carolina playing with a sense of purpose for Paul Maurice. I still think Boston will win, they are the better team overall. But don't expect four easy games. The Bruins have their hands full. And the girls team they knocked out in the first round did not prepare them for what they are about to see.

If Eric Cole can get his head out of his *&# Carolina could make this interesting.

I guess we were both wrong. But I was less wrong. :)

No doubt. Amazing how that serious went. The Canes up then the Bruins blowing them out two games in a row. So do I dare make a prediction? Na, going to sit back and enjoy the games, but...

GO PENS!!!!!!! :D

NY Islanders did a few game 7 pull the rabbit out of the hat wins...

4 cups in a row.. many nail biter wins...

Came up short in the drive for five..

Screw the NHL - did anyone see the Kelowna/Rimouski game tonight? The 3rd goal was easily the best pass/reception for a breakaway goal you will ever see in your life. I wish I could find a clip.

Find a clip? I've never heard of either teams. Is this the Lithuanian league?:)

It's the championship of the system that supplies about 65% of the NHL talent.
