I grew up in a single parent home ,with a serious alcoholic mother. I would not wish that on any children. I love my mom, but those years with her was hell. Good news is she stopped after getting help, now ten years without a drink. Its good to get your mom back.

Granddad on dad's side started and ended each day with a shot glass of stump water. Remember taking a country drive with granddad when I was very young. Stopped and put a quart jar with $3.00 in an old stump on the side of the road. Drove around for about 20 minutes. Came back and picked up the jar full of clear liquid and no $3. He called it stump water. At 90 years old he passed in his sleep.

I was at a friends house and he had a gallon jug of moonshine. He offered me a glass and I refused. A lot of moonshiners used old truck radiators that were full of lead. No thanks I will buy my poison at the store.
