I am not sure its broke. The high e string has no tone after a certain point on the fret board. The rest type thing (great tech terms huh?) is a lot lower than the rest so it might be a simple fix. I'll know later tonight.

The saddle that the string lays on top of at the bridge? Each string has one on the Fender and it goes up and down to set the string height (action). If too low, the string will hit multiple frets and sound dull and very twangy.
