Morning Markus.
Dave, get off my back, I'm getting there, finally... ![]() Engine details (nothing senior about it ):Complete rebuild, new bearings, new bushings, new oilrings, new oil pump, Supertech headstuds, refubished heads, valve guides, Sport (stiffer) valve springs, titanium retainers, hotwire air metering system, 964 cams, new exhaust studs, SSI's, M&K 2 in 2 out muffler, backdated heat,... Custom chip is probably required too, so I'll be dashing out some cash for that as well... I still want new plug wires, lightweight hi torq starter, bored out throttle body. polish the heads and exhaust ports, flow the intake runners...; the list goes on.... Transmission has been redone already. Suspension and interior are next. (what I really wanted was to go to a 3.4 twin plug, but I had to choose between a well equipped 3.2 or a basic 3.4...)

Good morning guys.
G-Man it sounds like there is some real action on the rebuild. I replaced my sound mat shortly after I bought my car. When I bought my car in 1995 the clutch was sticky and I figured it was the engine main bearing seal leaking. Come to find out it was the transmission main seal leaking onto the clutch. The old disk was right down to the minimum. While the engine was out I cleaned up the engine compartment some and replaced the mat. My next engine drop will probably be to address some oil leaks. I have 136,000 on the original untouched engine. I will have 139,000 or so in a few weeks. I just got the go-ahead to print one of the 5 ft x 12 ft prints as a final "proof". If they like it I will print 13 more. That will use up some ink and paper. We have been working on this for months.

Rick, Peggy will protect you from the killer deer better than Lanna. I saw a mangled Bambi on the side of the road last week. It was prretty small. I was amazed to see one that small this late in the summer.

One bit of boring trivia.
When you make a PDF or EPS file to print a 5x12 ft print it takes the mapping program about an hour, and it makes a 490mb PDF file. The RIP that we use to print the file takes only 18 minutes to process the PDF file and be ready to go. The printer takes about an hour to print the 12 ft long print at 720x1440 DPI. I know none of you really care but I am just amazed at all of that. I have been running large format printers since the very late 80s. I used to think a print file that was 40 MB was huge. I used to have a dedicated RIP that took overnight to process a file for a 3x8 ft print. Our customer actually mounts the prints on the wall sideways and looks at it very close up sometimes with a magnifying glass.

I am about to go home. It has been a crazy busy day. Time to have a frosty wheat soda or two.
