I actually didn't have any trouble with the roll pin. The secret is to get it braced (not easy)so that the hammer and punch are able to exert the most force on the pin.
Getting the clutch pedal off the shaft required a little heat.
And quit hiding ya sissy:D

About an hour and a half to get it out and apart.
A half an hour with a wire wheel cleaning things up.
