Also fun, is to try and time my shooting with the guy next to me..
And when he's shooting, let mine rip while i yell " Supressive FIIIIIIIIREEEE!!!"

Good morning everyone. It is gonna be a busy day for me. I start off easy with getting a haircut. After that the fun begins. I have been informed that I "get" to dig a BIG hole to plant a new tree, and I was planning on mowing and trimming the yard. Then i get to fertilize it so that it will grow faster and thicker.

Arrrg! Nothing but carp since winning the poker game last Friday nite. Not having a good week. Got up this morning and my hot water heater is leaking.

Porsche-poor 04-28-2012 07:51 AM

morning all. I got a lazy day planned.

GH85Carrera 04-28-2012 08:11 AM

Why did you heat hot water? :)

Richard let me know when you are ready to attack your cold water heater. Our is not leaking but it is 16 years old and we are thinking of replacing it soon. Sounds like a good chance to help each other install new water heaters.

Thanks. The question I'm running into is what happens when they sell by weight? i.e. by the pound or by the ton. Is there a standard density conversion so I can figure how much volume there is in a ton (and then do the math you've outlined above)?

I've stopped by 3 stone yards locally, and they all sell by weight. Or by the "bag" (not listed on the bag how much volume), or by the "basket."

I am looking at doing a tankless water heater. Gotta get 220 to it. The plumbing will have to be redone anyway since the current one is not the 18 inches off the floor.

My water heater is 32 years old!

RKDinOKC 04-28-2012 09:13 AM

27KW tankless heater is on sale at Sears for $469. Supposed to heat 1.5 gpm.

GH85Carrera 04-28-2012 09:17 AM

I looked at the tankless and they are EXPENSIVE ! and great for large families that need a lot of hot water. We never run out of hot water. The payback on the tankless was a very long time for just two people.

GH85Carrera 04-28-2012 09:18 AM

So you are going electric to heat water?

svandamme 04-28-2012 09:27 AM

i'm electric, but it's more cost effective for me, as i'm by myself.
And the solar panels give me plenty of juice to stick to electric.

svandamme 04-28-2012 10:16 AM

So i got a small percentage of my nato surplus that has pink corrosion
busy disassembling them with a bullet puller. so i can potentially reload them onto different brass at a later time.

So i get a lot of old powder out of those rounds too.. don't plan on reusing it.. But it's sure as hell fun stuff to set it on fire ... that makes for some serious flames !

Rolled by a local car show, and there wasn't much note worthy except for this little gem that is owned by a friend of mine. Car shows around here suck unless you like old Detroit.

Porsche-poor 04-28-2012 11:46 AM

very nice looking. why not enter a Porsche?

Rick V 04-28-2012 11:49 AM

Because it is much more fun to park just outside of the "show room" and watch the people stray over to look at my car. :)
We used to have a car show here every year around the 4th of July. I got tired of taking home best in show from the import division. I don't bother anymore

Porsche-poor 04-28-2012 11:51 AM

good point. There is a show and shine up here tomorrow for the pca. I don't want to get off my butt and wash mine.

Rick V 04-28-2012 11:53 AM

Well Lanna got a bath today. We got caught in a bad downpour and wouldn't you know it, I was running my open airbox. Had to keep the R's down to keep from sucking water into the engine.

Porsche-poor 04-28-2012 11:56 AM

thats what the back seat is for.

Porsche-poor 04-28-2012 12:05 PM

off to go figure ou how to hang a huge mirror and frame up..........with my luck the wall will fall over.
