We had a nice visit at the USDA. It was cool to see the vault room, and some of the scanners and equipment that a federal budget can buy. They have 2 of the scanners we lust after. It is a scanner by Leica. A nice round 150 grand will get us one. It can produce a 1 GB scan from a 9x9 aerial negative in 2.5 minutes. Our 10 year old scanner takes 40 minutes. Now scan 5,000 negatives and how much time can you save on a scan job? On big jobs we just hire out the scans
to be done. It would take us a month to scan a job they can do overnight. The vault room had huge racks of cans of negatives in a temp controlled vault. Mega millions of dollars. It was fun to put a face to a voice on the phone.

I don't really see what the big deal is about the Wall. There are a few good songs, but I like DSotM and Wish You Were Here much better.

Its not about the music so much as the four intertwined stories that all play together

This is the place where we will eat dinner tonight.
La Caille ![]() Even better, an open bar. I will see how many free Epic Beers I can get down. I can't go too crazy, we are driving to Bear Lake tomorrow.

I wonder how many drugs have beeen consumed before listening to the wall? I bet Max is one of the few to be stone cold sober every-time. Not a criticism, just an observation. Max, you are better off never getting to enjoy drugs in any form. Beer is my only drug. It is just a legal drug.
Speaking of Beer, I am enjoying a Wasatch Summer Twilight. Very light with no bad aftertaste.

The pitch is a little higher to get around copyright laws, but still good. I should have gotten this one at best buy. It was cheap but I went for something else instead.
