David, hilarious. And I still liked them when I was in my twenties but didn't choose to eat them. If they were the only thing there, sure.

Who knows why kids like them? I think a lot of stuff I liked as a kid are too sweet for my palette now. I like creamy buttery desserts now. Creme brûlée and ice cream. Mmmmmm...

Since I have no kids and I don't ever hang out around kids I had never heard of beaver pops or whatever they are.

When I quit drinking I could find nothing cold enough or wet enough to quench my thirst, until I found otter pops. I think I went through 15-20 of them a day until my thirst subsided. I still go through a fair amount of them though. I like um

There are a lot of a-hole drivers out there, I noticed today. Grand prize went to a dude who tried to race me on the highway. Only I didn't realize we were racing.

He was in some late-model Jaguar XJ sedan with some sort of Russian sticker on the back. (Maxim?) He had come zipping along in the fast lane while I had been trundling along in one of the slow lanes (I wasn't in any hurry, and I was thinking ahead of the offramp I had to take from one highway to another). On the two-lane wide transition road I admit I came flying up on him...but in the other lane. I didn't do it to catch him, but rather because it's fun to go fast around corners in a 911. I slowed as there was traffic in front of me in my lane. I didn't crowd anyone.

As the transition road narrowed down to one lane, I dropped back a bit to let the Jag have space to merge. He was tailgating the car in front of him. Again, let him go first; I was in no rush.

So as our line of about 5 or 6 cars merged onto the next highway, there happened to be a line of cars in the "slow lane" preventing immediate merging. This merging area (two parallel lanes) goes on for at least 1/2 a mile, so there's no immediate rush to merge onto the highway proper. I was the last car in line, so as timing went, I let the line of cars in the (#4) slow lane slip by and merged onto the highway. A-hole Jag pilot just couldn't stand it that I might get in front of him (apparently), and instead of waiting for traffic to pass by to allow him to merge, he forced his way into the 1/2 car space between two others on the highway. As in: he only had 1/2 a car length on the guy next to him. Poor red car had to swerve half-way into the next lane to avoid the accident, leaning on his horn the entire time. Jag didn't care or back off. I mean, the cars were door handle to door handle for a good 50 yards.

After that banzai move, he did a similar thing for his next lane change, whipping his car into a spot in traffic 2 feet longer than his car. And then he swerved into the next faster (#2) lane over, which was free of traffic. As soon as he "broke free" into the traffic-free #2 lane, a couple car lengths in front of me (I had just gradually mosied on over three open lanes into the #1 lane while he was divebombing through the slow lanes), he finally drove normally. Only to then skitter across two lanes to exit the highway shortly later.

WTF? I always hear of stories how guys claim everyone wants to race them in their Porsches. In my 7 years of ownership, that's happened to me maybe once. A 25 year-old Porsche doesn't merit a 2nd glance in L.A. Does s h i t like this really happen?

that is called masturbation. ;)

it happens all the time to me. seriously. all the TIME. just this morning, i had to show some VW donut what a souped up 951 will do off of the line. i let him get halfway across the intersection. then chirped the tires transitioning to 2nd gear. THEN, he wanted to tailgate me for several blocks. that was fun. i was hoping i could lead him into a corner really really HOT, but he turned up a side street...

I stop, he moves to my right and runs the stop sign, only to slow behind the minivan. I spent about two minutes yelling profanities at him at the next stop light. He avoided eye contact at all costs. Looked at me and my middle finger only once. I was so pissed, I cut him of as soon as the light changed. Total road rage moment.

ah.... your gang related experiences, recently, have taken hold. :)

Doing another hit of Vancomycin. It is a slow step by step process to hook up and make sure there are no air bubbles, and everything is sterile. Then the proper steps to flush.

nynor 08-25-2012 06:19 PM

i wouldn't worry OVERLY MUCH about air bubbles. it takes a lot to cause problems.

This. A whole tube full to be exact.

Porsche-poor 08-25-2012 06:39 PM

So in other words don't sweat a few and have an otter pop?

slodave 08-25-2012 06:43 PM

I'm so tired of computers. Moms pc lost Internet. Picks up ip from router, but can't ping it or access it. Dads pc is fine. Tested cable, switched cables. Malwarebytes finds nothing, HiJackThis looks normal. Internet does work in safe mode. Hmmm....

Flieger 08-25-2012 06:48 PM

This morning my PC said it had an internet connection but Firefox only would load a blank tab and IE would say page cannot be displayed. Nothing we tried fixed it until my dad decided to load Spyware Doctor and that fixed it. I think before the scan, even. It found a few minor things that we fixed.

Flieger 08-25-2012 06:57 PM

Hey guys (Dave you don't have to answer if you don't want to :)) My mom wants to cut down our cable bill and she is wondering about streaming programs off the internet to the tv. What is the best way to do this? We like Science Channel, ESPN, CNN, Speed, H2 (formerly history international) and my mom likes this catholic channel called EWTN. Could we get all those (and movies) via something like Hulu? I don't really know what that is other than William Shatner pitches it. :)
