IIRC, about the time that honda came out with the oval piston engines, Indy Car racing officially banned the use of such pistons in their races. they were talking ridiculous amounts of horsepower from 2 liter V-4 engines.

that is a lot of power out of 500cc engine. wow.

That is crazy power out of a 500!!!

Howdy y'all. Worked all day, got home at 0100 and found my 'copy' of the newest navigation DVD for the Jag in my mailbox. Works beautifully and didn't cost the arm and a keg that Jag wants.......plus I didn't have to fight with the parts guys over compatibility........supposedly the new discs won't work in the x350 jags......seems to work beautifully in mine and cleaned up some clunky UI issues.

I think spark plugs are pretty reliable. Unless a factory defect gets by QC or you over tighten one and break it.

okay, i am chilled out enought to go to bed. i think. you might see me back here later.

good night.

Funny you ask that, Max. The first thing the girls said was "no pictures on FB". So here a couple of pictures where you can't really identify us. :)

Beautiful day. Nine of us. We took the boat out to a little cove. We were the only ones out there, floating around. Relaxing. A good day. There is even a red head in there for Rick. ;)

Morning Y'all

slodave 08-28-2012 01:26 AM

Morning, Rick.

Rick V 08-28-2012 01:27 AM

You get all your trip details ironed out yet?

slodave 08-28-2012 01:31 AM

Most. Looks like a couch on the first night. Less than two weeks now! Yikes! Gotta clean my place, arrange for my fish to be fed and plants watered. Some clothes shopping to do as well.

Rick V 08-28-2012 01:33 AM

Maybe you can train the fish to water the plants and that would be one less worry

Rick V 08-28-2012 01:47 AM

Looking at the pics Jeff is posting from his excursion........
That looks like total fun

slodave 08-28-2012 01:59 AM

Not one night time pic of the sky. I'm disappointed.

Rick V 08-28-2012 02:27 AM

Oh I am sure they have more

slodave 08-28-2012 02:33 AM

Crap! Do I cut short a sight-seeing day to get an extra chance at the 'Ring?? I am planning on being there on a Friday. Public hours are from 5pm (local) to 7:30. The day before, all day. It is September and weather is a factor.

slodave 08-28-2012 02:35 AM

I hardly gamble. This is a gamble to me, because of the weather. I'm giving up one thing for another, though, I really want to drive that track.

Rick V 08-28-2012 02:43 AM

I read that on FB. Personally I would make my plans around the weather and the track. your friends can come to you, but you have to go to the track.
You see this is why I don't have friends, they tend to complicate matters

slodave 08-28-2012 02:52 AM

Not giving up friends, giving up photography. :) Since the track is only open an hour on Thursday, I can still do both. The day it is open all day, is Sunday. I can't really rearrange for that. My plans to visit Stijn remain unchanged.

Rick V 08-28-2012 02:54 AM

Okay I'll grant you that. :)
Make sure you rub him on the belly for us
