Nice way to spend your arvo. Whats you aiming to catch?

In that spot, I usually go for spot tail bass. I set the hook on two tonight that were 3+ ft.........they both destroyed the 20lb line the guy I got the rig from had on there. I just finished clearing that off and rigging it with 30lb Cajun red. I've had a lot of luck with that line.

i need to do some fishing out there. that looks awesome.

C'mon out. We'll drop a line in the water, crack some beers, light some stogies and reduce the spot tail population.

Re-rigging the reel and enjoying the newest Stone brewery release. Mint chocolate imperial stout..........absolutely incredible!

Just had a 4.6 quake at around 7:15. Centered in Hollis,Maine about 80 miles from here.
Pretty good shake for these parts. Dogs freaked.

Ours last summer was 5.6 I think and the epicenter was directly under the North Anna nuclear power plant, That had them steppin' and fetchin' for a few days

That place is croc heaven for sure.

I didn't stay down there for too long, 'bout 1/2hr. Something stirred up a heap of mud below me so I slowly backed up the bank and hit the beers ;)

Missus looked at me and asked if I'd had enough already? Na, somethings looking at me from underwater was the reply.

I found another spot down the bank further that overhung the water (about 2m up off it). Still nada. Figured the croc was scaring anything of any size away.

Real pretty spot to camp

There's a 3 footer that hangs around when I'm fishing. If I have a bobber on the line he likes to check it out, but the best bet for spot tail is just a weight about 2 feet up the line from live bait and wait..........trolling it a bit can be successful if you're very smooth with it.

Outback Porsche 10-16-2012 05:55 PM

A few days later, I was swimming in here
