i think i'd rather have an alignment bill, on a regular basis, than back pain.

I did get sort of permission from the Hubby last night, he said quote "well if you want to just fly out there and drive it home, well go right ahead", but knowing you guys, that should be taken as "I don't think you should be driving across the country by yourself" hahahaha

In Oz I would not hesitate, but here, having not done the roads before, it is a bit daunting

D, how much snow did SLC receive?

It was 88 degrees here on Sunday. I had to turn the AC back on. It has been on since. A cold front arrives tommorow so the heater goes back on. Nothing frozen for us as yet.

I guess the ski resorts will be happy.

If it never ever snowed or got icy in Oklahoma again that would be great as far as I am concerned. If I want to see snow I will go up to the mountains and visit that crap. I don't want it to visit me.

I'm in California on business until the 16th, easy for me to change my flight and pick up the car in Salt Lake.

That and I really enjoy driving across the country. I've done it at least 20 times.

Have AAA will travel

Well Paul, that sounds very very tempting, hubby is not liking the idea of me going over and picking it up, and although I have all of the assurances from the seller than he ships cars all the time and never has a problem, I am not comfortable with shipping it either. Me, I would just get on a plane, fly over and drive back, but Hubby doesn't like that idea at all!!

Still trying to convince him to take some time off and come with me, and we would have to leave the teenager at home for a few days, but he is a big boy and won't kill himself in three or four days!

Let me work on Steven a bit more and I will get back to you.

Azza,

We can watch your son...big house, both kids in college, very private little apartment in the basement that we used for Au Pairs (two were from Australia), dogs, a beach and a 356.

Work on Steven. There are some really great drives east out of Salt Lake if you know the roads. Depending on the weather you can head directly east through some of the most beautiful country we offer or head south then east and see the same.

I am always jealous of the gent from Australia who posts here in Stijn on his travels through Australia...my exact way to travel.

If you really hurry back to Maryland, you can do it in three days from Salt Lake. I would recommend five days minimum.

You'll never really get to know America unless you drive it off the interstate roads, see some roadside attractions. My daughter goes to school in Arizona and we drove from Maryland to Az two years ago on nearly all back roads, less than 10% of the time on the big highways.

I stand ready, however, to drive it back should Steven disappoint me

I'm thinking that we should all head south!!!!

We are going to Florida for Xmas, my hubby wanted to know why we were going south instead of north so he could have a white Christmas, I said that by the time Christmas gets here, we will want some sunshine!!

Well I am glad I bought the Canberra cold weather gear with me!!
