Neither. No alcohol tonight. This statement would apply to a lot of things, Max. The time is now. For everything. Why wait? I always told myself that I refuse to ever regret because out of all the emotions I have ever felt, sadness, happiness, anger, regret is the one that seems to last the longest. So don't. Simple as that.

Hmm. Looks like SolidWorks might not successfully upgrade tonight. My 1 year of student version expires soon and I was going to upgrade using a disc that SolidWorks provided free for the team, but I think my issues with Windows Update, etc. may have caused it to fail. It sent an error message but I am not sure if it was just a random error and I can go back and finish it.
I bought the student version 2 years ago for $100 and then I got a free year from their first-come-first-served offer last year. This year I would have paid for another disc but I got this other free one. ![]() The full (professional) version is like $20,000 I think, though.

Interesting. Looks like SolidWorks 2012 is not there but the 2011 version now says it is good until December 31, 2013 which is when the donated disc expires. I chose the "upgrade" option rather than the "new install". Perhaps that has something to do with it? I transferred the license to the new one but it appears I may still be using the old program and so not able to view files from the newer version. But maybe having the license extended will allow it to read the new files?
At least I have a SolidWorks version working on my laptop, though.

things will turn around quickly not too much going on tonight...i just moved down to LA, from the high desert. learning to deal with the commute...but i think my sanity needed to get out of the desert. a necessary evil, i guess.
