I presume your creamer is not really cream but some white stuff to make the coffee not be black.

I have never tried that stuff. I just drink coffee black.

It should be short fight!
pretty much, it's the international delight stuff.
It's not even about flavor I just need it to be a muddy brown or, as you say, not black.

I have one month to go and I can say 9 years and have not touched a drop. I can't wait till I hit the ten year mark, there are a few people who's noses I am going to rub in it.
Some of the AA folks that told me I would never quit if I didn't go, and they have all fallen off the wagon.
Pay back's are a real ***** when I really want to be a plick

Well Beth and I decided on the get the hell out of the house weekend plans.
Going to Fairax tomorrow after work. (they are calling for torrential downpours and such, but what could possibly go wrong driving to DC on friday night in heavy rain)
Checking into a hotel.
Sat we are hopping the metro to downtown DC if it is not raining we are going to walk the mall, if it is raining we are going to the Smithsonian.
Back to Fairfax to enjoy some of the weekend blues festival.
Keep your fingers crossed that I don't kill someone this weekend. I am not one to follow the rules, especially the ones specific to DC (if your picking up what I am putting down)
Yesterday I had a meeting to go to about 2 miles from my office and actually got outside...It was beautiful out there (although it wore me out because I had to run the entire way there in a suit because I was late. Had to cross the mall. It made me wish I had time to stop and see something. There were lots of kids there on school trips making it had to get through where they bunched up (not watched very well by adults accompanying them. Had an easy walk back...but had at least 20 homeless (or maybe just beggars) that wanted money. Of course, I didn't give them any.

Went back out and walked the mall for about 30 minutes today....from the Capitol to the monument. It was cooler and overcast, but no rain Perfect. I wish I could get out for 30 minutes every day...but don't usually get time for lunch. I plan to try to do it as much as I can this summer (but I said that last summer as well). I did once last year when the cherry blossoms were in bloom.

The last time I came here sightseeing, the Holocaust Museum was my favorite.

It is supposed to rain all day tomorrow...so be careful. If you get into a bind...PM me. I might be able to help. Good luck! Enjoy yourself.

We just got back from the Nationals' ballpark. A group from our office bought tickets. Unfortunately, our game was cancelled due to the rain. At least we got to hang out and eat junk food and have some drinks while waiting for the game to be called off.

Thanks, but I have a date with a couple of downed trees Saturday. Have to finish cutting them up and get it out of the yard. I thought I would do it all last week when I bought my new chainsaw, but I guess I am too out of shape. It got heavy quick. I last used one at least 35 years ago, but need to get it done because I am doing my reserve duty again soon...and the day after I get back, we close on our new (different) house and I will have to spend most of my time moving and getting this house ready to sell or rent.

Besides, my wife hurt her foot and cannot walk more than a few steps...so she can't go far.

Sounds like you have a romantic getaway planned...so it will be better enjoyed alone.

We went a couple of weeks ago, corporate box, was a great afternoon and evening, the weather was perfect.

We haven't had any rain down here in SOMD at all.

we have got the Crab Fest of Saturday, hope the wet weather they are expecting in the morning blows over quickly.

Then on Sunday we have a relax and then a work "do" in the afternoon/ evening, a good bunch so its not a chore.

Rick, I love the museums and things around the Mall, we have spent some good time looking around there. And of course everyone that comes over wants to go there as well.

So I will cross the fingers and hope that the bad rainy weather blows over really quickly and you two have a great weekend away. A great place for a lovely lunch on the Mall is the restaurant in the sculpture garden on the north side of the Mall, not to expensive and a great outlook.

Holocauste — I have an 8x10 B&W print of the Enola Gay autographed to Tom Clancy with each of the crew members signature. Went to an R/C airplane air show when I was into RC Planes. It was the inaugural flight of a 1/5th scale model of the Enola Gay and they had all the crew there as special guests. Tom Clancy was the person in front of me in the meet and greet the first atomic attack force souvenir tent. We both bought an autographed print of the plane. I can only image what Tom Clancy thought when he looked closer at his print and it said "To Richard Davis" instead of "To Tom Clancy."

I was there when this happened...

Also got to ride in a back seat of a P-51 Mustang earlier that day.

They had quite a presentation of all kinds of 1/5th scale planes, boats, and tanks including 2 aircraft carriers. One launching fighters off the deck and one gets sunk. The flight of the Enola Gay was supposed do a mock a-bomb drop. They went ahead a blew up the 50 some odd barrels of diesel that made a huge mushroom cloud. Us spectators could even feel the wind and heat generated by the explosion. It ended with the Marines hoisting the flag on a hill behind all the action. Pretty neat event.

Long day......got the wheel cylinder swapped out then spent the next hour and a half completely flushing the brake lines.......

Then I got some quality time in on the rc plane...
Have the rudder, elevator and ailerons hooked up.....
My less than mechanically inclined father had linkage rods that were far to thin on the throttle and nose gear so I've got to pick up some new linkages......

Hmmm, all the push rod wire I ever used was all the same size.

Put a small length of fuel tubing over the clevis next to the control horn to make sure it doesn't come loose.

Morning Y'all. I think I am going to scrap the mall or at least postpone it. I think I am going to swing by Arlington. I have never been there, and I think it is time. I know a few of those guys and I might just try and look them up
