Watching TV news coverage and it is all the weather.

They are showing an old Camaro that is stuck on a slight hill of an off-ramp. It has been there for over an hour. It looks like a total POS and I bet money it has a peg leg rear end and bad tires. He sure needs some help. Now he has the sand truck stuck behind him. He is having FUN today.

They all had a little crappy speaker that sounded horrible that you hung on the window. If you wanted popcorn or to pee it was in a building that looked like a leftover from a horror movie. <br>

I have not been to one since I moved to Oklahoma.
The more modern ones aren't bad. I enjoyed the one I went to. :). Now they broadcast sound via FM, so you get to listen via your car stereo. Works much better.

I still prefer the stadium seating and surround sound Dolby Digital or TXH or best of all Imax sound and 3D visuals.

Get off my lawn!

You need to take Tweze to one and show her what a drive in is all about. ;)

Feel sorry for me. I am like a fish out of water. I am literally in fleece footsie pajamas under covers in the hotel bed, working on my computer. Brrrrrrrrr!

Back home it is in the low 60's/high 50's. sweltering compared to this.

Evening Y'all.
I love drive ins. A pick up truck, backed into the spot and lawn chairs in the bed. Great fun, out under the stars, watching a movie.
We usd to take my old CJ5 to the drive in and fold the windshield down, it was a lot of fun. We have one just a couple of miles away. They are playing the classic, "Closed for Winter" right now.

That looks like Sid's part of the world.

Watching the movie, Rick? I thought drive-ins were about the making out in the car.

HHI944 12-05-2013 03:57 PM

I feel like crap.....

On the bright side, the BCG for my AR Pistol build showed up today.....the linear compensator is supposed to be here tomorrow......god willing, I might get it out to the range this weekend!

Rick V 12-05-2013 04:24 PM

Wow. Had an eye doc appointment just as the snow started. Got out all with my pupils all dilated just in time to get in the traffic with all that white stuff everywhere. Man, it was way too bright out even with sunglasses and those dark lenses the eye doc gives you.

Went to grocery store on the way home from the eye doc in the snow. I bet I looked like I was on drugs staggering around blind with my huge pupils. Noticed several people look me in the eye then smile at me. Barely got the stuff I needed.

The snow was bright enough that I still can't see very good. Everything looks like I'm a little snow blind, too bright and hard to focus… Thank goodness I can make the font on my browser huge.

RKDinOKC 12-05-2013 04:37 PM

My preference for movies these days my own home theater with 65 inch hd 3d TV and THX surround sound, oh and a lazy boy to watch from.

Gotta love pause for pee breaks.

And nobody can see me cry when old yeller dies (or some other such emotional wrenching story line BS.).

Jim Richards 12-05-2013 04:39 PM

We looked at a '88 325is with later model bumpers today, down near San Diego. A bit too rough for what I was hoping to buy. My patience is really being tested during this car search.

Jim Richards 12-05-2013 04:40 PM

How d'ya like the 3D, Richard?

GH85Carrera 12-05-2013 04:48 PM

Old Yeller dying & Dumbo getting separated from his mom are classic Disney. Only non humans can watch that and not tear up or flat out boo hoo.

Outback Porsche 12-05-2013 05:55 PM

Bugger off nasty headache :(
