Morning y'all.

Congratulations Sidney, now its time to do some real work.

Heading up to New York City today, driving to Baltimore Amtrak at the Airport, then up on the train, meeting my brother and his family, so looking forward to seeing them and having a good time around NYC.

Good Thursday morning folks.

Today our local PCA region goes to the Children's center to donate the gifts we collected at our Christmas party. It filled up most of the back end of Chad's SUV.

I had a telemarketer call last night. Some dude that had a classic very thick Indian tech support sound called and said he was with Windows. He instantly starts in suggest my Windows computer is very slow and they have detected a virus.

I just cut him off and told him my computer is so fast I go back in time when I use it. Then I called him a low life liar scam artist and he should be ashamed of his job. Then I hung up. My wife was aghast that I was so rude. I told he she does not know what rude really is. I can get nasty to lying jerks that call me.

That jerk called me at my house on a land line that is registered with the national do not call registry. He is claiming to be with "Windows" not Microsoft and he is flat out lying saying they detected a virus on my computer with some sort of magic is guess. My computer is updated and running a real anti-virus and I don't visit porn sites. I have never ever had a virus in all the years of using computers. I have seen a few try to get me but they all died a wonderful death before infecting me.

Microsoft ain't gonna be calling me at out of the blue, ever. That is as likely as the IRS calling me.

I went into the control panel on my phone software and that number is now blocked forever.

Morning all. All calls going to the house phone talk to the box. If they leave a message we call back most just hangup.

I am trying to learn to do that more often. My home phone setup sends an email of the message to both my wife and myself. So even if I ignore it my wife's iPad and her phone my iPad and phone will all beep and tell us there is a new email. I can log in and delete the message and block that phone number but usually I just tell the caller to go fcuk off. It is faster than the messages.

It is convenient for the occasions when someone calls the house during the day. We both get the message and whoever it is for can deal with the call.

It is a service that the wife insists we keep around in case someone wants to find us using a analogue device called a phone book. The good news it just cost $3.50 per month for the service after buying some equipment.

They have been calling from the "computer center" telling my computer has sent them a message telling them I have a virus. I say my computer contacted you? The say yes. Then I ask if they can access my virus infected computer right now. They say yes. Then I say "If you can access my computer, what operating system is it running?" They hang up immediately.

I got REAL rude when the scamers called wanting to renew my AutoWeek subscription. Autoweek had an article and said flat out if anyone calls you to renew it is a scam. They charge a lot more for the renewal and it is just a waste of money. I told that dude he was stealing from honest customers and he should be ashamed of himself.

And yes, I get a lot of Mrs. Robinson jokes although it doesn't bother me since I really don't know what that means other than the fact I am older than Sidney.
