Get off my lawn!

Stijn!!
Look what happened to the floor in my garage!
![]() It is a real mystery. The CIA & FBI using that alien technology STOLE some of my garage floor. It is likely where the power supply for their spaceship was buried. The good news is they were very neat and tidy and they cut a nice pit. By coincidence it is the perfect size to drop my scissor lift into. All it will need is some concrete and it will be perfect! Dang that is sure a lucky break! There is just enough room to park the Elky over the pit right now so it can stay inside. ![]() Now I need to convince the wife that I would NEVER tell an un-truth, not me never, that would be wrong.

Glen knows a guy that occasionally has a crane truck in OKC if he needs to...
![]() Gleam I would have them put angle iron on the edge of the concrete around that hole. Won't add much cost and will keep the concrete from chipping away when you lower the lift in... |

so funny. Thankfully the guy that used to own Miss Daisy my '61 356 had a similar thought, and he thought that his wife would understand. It went well for a few years apparently, until they had children, then she demanded he park the car and go get a "family" car. Miss Daisy sat for 30 years in his garage, he never started it again. And when he divorced her, he started getting the parts together to get her back on the road. Then after a few years he was getting married again, and the soon to be wife said, the car had to go, lol. Not that I am complaining.......

Would like to have a drain in my garage so there would be one more thing to call out Mr. Rooter for. That And I wouldn't discover it was clogged until it flooded the garage.

JOGR BLAZECUT Automatic Fire Suppression System - YouTube
Thoughts? Looks cool but there is discussion on the samba about it being ineffective as it'll blow the fire out but not shut off the fuel flow. I'm thinking if you hear that thing blow you are going to shut the damn car off. Everyone recommends carrying a handheld extinguisher as well. |

Don't know much about fire suppression systems, but think most work by replacing the air in the engine bay with something that doesn't burn. An external fuel shut off is required on race cars.
When the engine bay on my Ford station wagon caught fire it was a gas leak from a old brittle fuel line that then set off the oil residue from oil leaks. A dry chemical fire extinguisher put it out and it did not re-light. That yellow powder stuff from the fire extinguisher was everywhere.

The fear with that is the fact that at highway speed the suppression will be sucked out of the engine bay as soon as the fire is out. So if fuel is still flowing on the hot motor or could reignite in theory.

Wouldn't that be the case with any fire suppression system? Well except for one that would fill the engine bay with foam. What a mess that would make.

Yea, TGIF
It will not be a big party day for me. The husband of one of my cousins died this week. The funeral is today. He was just 61 years old. He was always a car guy and he had a nice Corvette and was active in the Vette club. He son got into old Camaros and has a nice early Camaro that he and his dad built. All the cousins are showing up and I will get to see some of them I have not seen in years. It is sad that we only get together for funerals.

Morning Everyone. Had no problem last night at best buy exchanging the defective phone. She did look at me weird when I was still refusing the phone insurance.

Then why did you get sick?
I was sick once, I did not like it. I don't do that anymore. It is against my religion.

Used to get my watches from a place called Service Merchandise. Think I paid $25 for the first one plus the $7 replacement insurance. Every year I got a new watch and pay $7 for the replacement insurance, usually because the band was breaking. They always let me trade up value wise because they never had the same watch as I had gotten the year before. Wasn't very happy to see them go out of business.
Now I wear the a $700 custom designed watch, designed by me. I've replaced the leather band once already. Waiting for the guy to put together another custom watch I designed. It's been a while since I've heard from him. Looks like it's going to be a $200 Seiko. Will have to get two, one to wear and one to keep.
