We are pretty flexible here. I drop out daughter off during the school year to save her an hour on the bus but come in an hour earlier during the summer so I get a longer afternoon sans work. Sometimes it actually works out that way.

I logged onto the RIP computer and sent the job to the printer while sitting at home. I came in at my usual 30 minutes early and cut the prints up. I sent an email to the client that they were ready and he was amazed he had prints done by 7:15 AM the next day. He is a good customer that pays his bills within 30 days. He never even asks the price of what it will cost, he just orders what he needs. I looked like a hero and it was an extra 2 minutes of time on my phone.

Of course I really love my job. I get here 30 minutes early most days sometimes I don't even leave for lunch. If I need to leave for the afternoon it is no big thing.

I understand that, and I will do small things for good customers, but I know my boss likes to work long hours, and I know if I set the expectation that I was willing to as well, he would abuse that...

This case is just a tiny bit diff. He is in Germany so he has a 9 hour head start. But I also can't wish into existence the item he needs in metric just cause he wants it so.....

Then you are not wishing hard enough!

However I did discover wishing harder never worked out for me. If it did I would win the lottery and have a 918 already. Heck I can't even win a door prize at Parade.

Some how I suppose that would be my fault as well..............

So when I don't win anything at the Monterey Parade I will know who to blame! It is your fault!

Used to have my own phone. Boss tried to get me on a Saturday. The Monday after my personal cell phone account was taken over by the corporate account. On call 24/7. Don't mind because after hours and weekend calls are rare. Working from home pretty much work whenever I want as long as the daily tasks get done in a reasonable amount of time and long term projects move forward.

Think a prerequisite for winning the lottery is you are required to actually purchase a ticket.

Played scratch offs for a while. Invested $20 dollars in $2 scratch-offs on a wim. Won a few bucks and re-invested. Won some $20 serval times and a couple of $100 wins. Quit playing about 6 months later when I got back down to my original $20 investment. Was buying 5 at a time and hovered at around $100 ahead for a long time as at least one in the 5 would win something. Ended up not costing me anything and was entertaining.

Scratch-offs are a bit different than lottery tickets. They print a finite amount and have a specific number of winners of each amount in each printing. They also provide a web site that tracks how many cards are sold and what prizes have been won. You can pick the scratch-off with the most wins left in relation to how many have been sold to greatly increase the odds of winning.

Well if wishing had anything to do with it I would just wish for the winning lottery ticket to blow into my hand. I figure the odds are about the same. I am not math impaired so I will not spend money to play the lottery.

Porsche-poor 05-14-2014 01:28 PM

LOL

Yes blame me. You will probably get the same response and you can't fire me.

RKDinOKC 05-14-2014 01:59 PM

Yeah, I've always thought the lottery was a catch 22. It's supposed to raise money to improve edumication, but if it actually does and kids learn math then nobody is left to play the lottery. Like anyone is going to spend the lottery money on edumication so it would actually make a real difference.

Never heard of anyone winning the lottery that did NOT buy a ticket so since some have actually won the lottery the odds are way worse not buying the ticket.

Ya can't lose if ya don't play. Or something like that.
