I was thinking the little head, not the boof head

Handstands are too hard. Perhaps it was the centripetal force when I was holding onto the ceiling fan getting ready to dive in?

Had an inner ear infection like that once. Vertigo and balance was so bad I couldn't walk. Had to go to a doctor every couple of days and get my ear washed out. Very surprised just how much gook could come out of one ear. Finally got rid of it by going to a specialist that rinsed my ear out with creosote (yes like they coat telephone pole with). The rinsed the ear out really well telling me not to try it at home because if any was left in my ear it would eat a hole in my brain.

It had some good parts. one was I found how nice a local pizza place was. On the second day in a row I ordered delivery he asked if I was okay. When i told him about my balance thing he said I could call and order any restaurant or grocery store times I needed and he would pick them up for me. Not just the stuff off their menu. Sure got me as a customer for life.

The other was an amazing trip from OKC to Dallas. Dropped two friends off at the airport, but drove down myself because I couldn't fly due to the ear thing. Had a Jeep Cherokee Limited and got with a Corvette and hot rodded VW Golf and spent most of the drive from OKC to Dallas well above the top speed on the Jeeps speedo of 85mph. Had to drive thru the DFW airport to get to friend we were visiting in Dallas. Called and the friends I had dropped off at the OKC airport had not arrived yet, so stopped at the airline terminal on my way thru. Picked them up as they came out to catch a cab. They were FREAKED at how I could drop them off in one city, they fly to another and there I sat waiting to pick them up.

Good morning folks.

My wife had Labyrinthitis once.

Labyrinthitis: MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia

I accused her of just being a dizzy blonde. She did not appreciate the humor.

TGIF!

It is going to be a long weekend. Emily starts hunter safety education tonight. 5:30 - 9:00 then 9-5 Saturday and Sunday and it is a 45 minute drive to the class. It has been a busy summer. We have not taken a single day to go fishing.

G's fiance posted a profile pic, nothing more. I guess a long time "friend" made a not so nice comment on a family matter that happened to be on a public pic. I just mentioned that it wasn't nice to make comments like that where the public can see.

If there are nuggets in your sharts, you are eating wrong.

Dave, this woodworking thing looks pretty simple with the automatic equipment they have now.

This shop is has some cool tools.

Even I could make this with that shop and the automatic tools.

I wish I had a buddy or neighbor with a shop setup even 1/2 of what that guy has.

There goes the Tuesday delivery on the Cayenne. The dealership didn't finish the paperwork yesterday like planned. Told them was going to re-finance with my local credit union because could get 3%. Got a new finance contract via next day today for 2.38% with a note from the girl in the finance department i had been chatting with that she didn't want me to have to hassle with re-financing. Not to bad for financing a used car over 8 years old.

When I bought my 911 back in 1995 it was a 10 year old car. I had been looking for a while. The same credit union told me to just write a check and they would roll it into a car loan. They said I got the car for loan value. I am sure the interest was higher back then. It was fun to go in and fill out the loan application. I did not owe anything to anybody but I did not want to tap a CD to buy a toy.

The shop the found of the founder of the company I work for can do all that stuff. It is a LOT more compact though. His shop was set up in the laundry room attached to the detached garage. The neighborhood he was in it was common to have a detached two car garage with an 8 foot wide laundry room the length of the garage with water hookups, drains, etc. He has a lathe, drill press, and one of those Shop Smiths. The old shop smith reconfigures to do the surfacing, jointing, belt and disc sander, table and radial saw. He uses the drill press like a router. He was a master of making jigs to hold and work as guides.

He is my brother's father-in-law. We made a coffee table together for my apartment when I was in college. Taught me I could do amazing things with a jig saw, circular saw, hand drill and a hand sander using a little extra wood to create jigs to keep things aligned. Also taught me you could get some wild exotic woods very cheap by bribing the guys at the lumber yard with exotic woods to let you raid their scrap bin. Had to know what you were looking at though.

His shop is currently in storage. They plan to make a recreation of his shop and office at the new company facility as a memorial. His dad had the same setup in his garage.
