I am going to either stay put or go to Tucson, I have spent the last couple of years looking at my options and Az. is to my liking. They take care of the state before the rest of the country, it is warm, and the entire place is a rifle range

When I moved to CA I was tempted to live in Yuma but it would have been a long commute. It took 8 months to get the Cobra registered there.

The winters in El Centro were great, but the summers were way too hot for me. Shorts weather all year long for work and play.

I think the only reg issues I may have is with Lanna, because she is going to keep her antique status for many reasons

Rick you should be fine out here. If you have her on "collector car" insurance, they don't ask any questions....

I do, and have already discussed moving her with the company.

Brent I am gonna reply to you here instead of jamming up the truck thread. G had a few issues driving Peggy, the biggest thing (other than driving through a neighbors yard since he couldn't find reverse) was the steering, he has never driven old school detroit and said the steering column was made of rubber. It was a tad vague until I upgraded the lower section

You mentioned talking to D, is he going to try to come down when you make the move?

D, I am sure will at some point, but Stijn more than likely come to visit. The state may not survive he and I together, we are way too much alike

That sounds like a party. We will need to go shoot lots of things when you get out. I left my spoons in OK!

I will buy spoon food of course.

The plan is I will come out first while Beth finishes up the details here, I will have most of my spoons with me but the Uzi will stay with Beth, she really likes that spoon and it really is good for home defense.

An intruder would probably faint at the sight of being at the wrong end of an Uzi.

When I got my Ramcharger the pitman arm was shot. Had about a quarter turn each way of free play. So while it is up and I am in there... Made for a decent driving truck after that.

So will the spoons fit in the car or do they get moved by Peggy?

Oh no I will need Peggy for that.
I had the stupid "joint" where the steering column attaches to the box wear out so there was a fair amount of slop in the wheel. I replaced it with a borgson shaft and a few other things like ball joints and such now she is rock steady but it is still an old Dodge so not exactly a razor.
Anybody who knows Beth would pass out being on the wrong end of her Sigma too, she is one hell of a shot

As I mentioned before just let me know if you need a place to rest up or anything else if you get in the OKC area. I-35 and I-40 & I-44 are all are just a few miles from my house.

Who needs a razor when a hatchet will do?

They may be crude, but effective. Especially when the weather turns sour.

That isn't going to be a cheap trip keeping that truck full of fuel, but well worth it. I averaged 13.5 with a full load, a dog, and a car on behind the Durango gong from CA to WI and gas was relatively cheap then.

I get 14mpg, empty, loaded, trailer, doesn't matter. It wouldn't bother me so much but she only has a 20gal tank, I have to stop every couple of hundred miles, which is a good thing I guess but when I can't make 500 miles straight it really does make for a long trip.

New Mexico is the only place that worried me much as far as getting fuel. Both the dog and I were ready to get out at fill up time.

Well if I stay 40 through Ok, I will have a lot of NM to deal with, if I take 144 I will have a lot of Tx to deal with.
