So much truth in that glen.

Just so we don't get back on the dry rub discussion with that cartoon.

Our pilot that works here has a laptop for his personal computer. It is a nice enough laptop but he uses our much older company laptop for the laptop to run the aerial camera. He loves how fast that old laptop runs and it is only because it has a solid state drive.

I told him we could get him a SSD for his home laptop and just clone his current computer to that. He sprung $80 for a 180 gig drive. I just did the clone and swap and he is loving it. It went from over 1.5 minutes to under 22 seconds for complete boot. Color him happy.

Eye doc didn't dilate my eyes...I can still see.

Evening Y'all.
Well made the day and actually feel better, but I did end up being taken to my knees a couple of times by that blinding white light that seems to be related to my neck.
Managed to climb up into the M1078 and terrorize a few people this evening, I love driving that monster

The new neighbors apparently left the college age son in the house for spring break. He and friends decided that 0130 would be a good time to blast music and drink outside.

This ended poorly for them. Guess they should have asked felon neighbor about my lack of tolerance for BS.

RKDinOKC 03-24-2015 05:41 PM

Awww, they were just tryin to have fun. Did they not offer you a beer?

RKDinOKC 03-24-2015 06:21 PM

When I had parties when my parents were away the only person that might complain was the next door neighbor. Before people started arriving I would go offer her a six pack of beer and tell her to call me if it got too loud. She never called, and never told my parents that I know of either.

Well, dropped the hammer on a new sharp, pointy toy.....hopefully it'll be here by the weekend

Whew, my brain is hurting. I finally downloaded and installed Turbo Tax and did my income taxes. What a pain. It should not take a computer and all that work to file taxes. My taxes are pretty simple. Almost nothing to deduct, just send money. I did get a large jar of lube to make it less painful but it did not help. I should have yelled rape.

RKDinOKC 03-24-2015 11:09 PM

I get to add up all my household expenses so I can deduct my home office.

porsche4life 03-24-2015 11:14 PM

My taxes are easy. I gathered up everything that is remotely tax related, put it in a folder, and gave it to Thuy's friend the CPA. She says she won't charge me if I will come fix her patio door. I'd rather do that than do taxes any day!

Rick V 03-25-2015 02:11 AM

Morning Y'all,
The only saving grace to my taxes is Beth does them and she does so little towards the household income that I get to get a few quid back

Jim Richards 03-25-2015 02:49 AM

Our taxes are pretty easy. Making sure I have all the necessary documentation takes the most time. I'm also a long-time Turbo Tax user. I wonder when they're going to come out with the Twin Turbo version.

ckelly78z 03-25-2015 03:52 AM

We use turbo tax also, and it's pretty easy. Now after the house is paid off, and there are no outstanding loans, and no church tithes, we can't itemize anymore.

GH85Carrera 03-25-2015 04:38 AM

I have been using turbo tax since the days of 5.25 inch floppies. For a few years a CPA friend did our taxes for about what a copy of TT costs. Then she got a big promotion at her real job and did not need the small income for doing taxes. She used TT to do the taxes so she gave me the file. It is not that difficult just painful slow with all the necessary steps, most of which don't apply. No child care, mortgage, gambling loss, medical costs, and so on. Just pay the sucker rate. Rape!
