Never said my usual car guy was handsome, but have noticed he does look a LOT like me. And have noticed that he has also gotten slower over the years. Used to be able to do a car in an hour, now it takes him days and even weeks to get it all done.

My guy's a total dick. He's across the country from my precious 964, and will only consent to fly out a few times a year to spend some time on her. Why on Earth is he so stingy with his time!!! It's a 964!!! If it was me, I'd be with her all the freakin' time!!!

Yeah, but your guy nearly lost a foot, so he should get a little slack. Plus, given some of the people he deals with in his day job I would give him some time to go slow to decompress.

Jim, soon your guy will retire and move out to your beauty.

Yeah, but in retirement, will he give her the attention she needs? Or will he just sit around the park feeding the pigeons? I don't know about that guy.

Parks have pigeons to feed?

There is a park in a neighborhood here called kite park. It's not big enough to fly a kite so it's either named that because of the huge tail feathered birds around there or they just don't like Jewish people. Since it's a rich neighborhood, figure it's probably the bird thing. Or maybe that's what they want us to think?

Oh boy. They are finally doing a live web cast of the company employee meeting today. That means I don't have to drive there and attend the meeting. It's about time. Been trying to get them to do the live video feed thing for over 10 years.

I even had a Quicktime Streaming server setup so it would send the feed in the format and size optimized for whatever bandwidth and computer the watcher was using. All they had to do was plug the laptop the video guy was already using to video the meeting onto into the network so the streaming server had something to stream. Don't know why they never did it. I'm guessing because it didn't cost anything. The service they are using now costs them. sigh.

I hear if you talk to his wife she will keep him in line. Especially if there is a fork around. Rick could give you more details on that.

Richard, it has no value if it doesn't cost anything!

Welp, virtually attended our employee meeting. Sure glad I didn't have to drive 10 miles to go to it then just turn around and drive another 10 home. Announced they officially started a new spin off child company of our engineering and marketing departments, but neglected to say what the name was.

Company still isn't making a profit from the 500K per day sales, but is still eeking out a positive cash flow because of built up inventory. Goal is to further reduce costs and increase profits to make up the 500K per month loss. Company has capacity for 1M per day production at 10hr days.

As of yesterday 80 employees have taken the 5K buy out and left the company. They were hoping 40 to 50 would leave to match current manufacturing needs so they are pretty happy with that plan. The company doesn't like to say they fired or layed off people when times get tough. Last time this happened they loaned employees out to other local companies until the work picked back up. Then the sales were 12M per year with a loss of 700K. Said enough have left they will have plenty of work for everyone and don't plan to loan anyone out.

Oh yeah, everyone passed the company wide drug test last week.

Evening Y'all
Jim's guys wife is freeking awesome, he married way up.
Ahhhhh revenge is a dish best served old, and karma can be a real kick in the rump.
Had a car come into the shop today for an inspection and my boy threw a big pink rejection sticker on the windshield for an exhaust leak. The woman driving the car recognized me from the last place I worked at where the crappy work was done (after I left) and I got to start taking some revenge. I called the owner of the shop and verified his warranty for the work and told him I was sending someone his way then proceeded to show the woman where all the corners were cut doing jobs on her including the hole cut in the rear floorboard for access to the fuel pump. I do know her car. She was livid. I no sooner turn her loose to go rip the guy a new one and my phone goes off, it's the other tech who works there and he said the owner was all happy because he thinks I am going to go back to work there.
Wait till tomorrow when a three hundred lb, pissed off woman blows through the front door looking for a head to put on a platter.
Ahhhhhhhhh that was fun

Hahahaha! I'd love to be a fly on the wall where that woman unloads on the shop owner.

Sounds like you had fun at work today Rick.

We had a real busy day. Two different clients came to the office today. Two!
The first customer was just getting out big sales push to show him what we can do for him. He was talking about surveying a creek fully of mud and mosquitos that he was fighting with. We can fly over and finish his survey for less than his own raw cost to finish it himself.

The other guy insisted on leaving a check for part of a job we are going to fly for him. I could have bought my first house with that much so I guess it was worth doing another song and dance and a dog and pony show in one day.
