Glad to hear she is feeling better Jeff.

We actually stayed awake until after midnight. My daughter was at a friend's house to watch them do fireworks. Picked her up about 12:30am.

We had fun playing dice and visiting with my wife's family before midnight. They don't drink so I took a couple bottles of Stella for me.

Howdy Y'all,
I didn't make it anywhere close to midnight but was waken up at 12:15 b someone down the road shooting off some mortars, scared the crap out of beth and she was the reason I was woken up. I was very tempted to let a few fly out the window to reply but didn't feel like getting up

We call it "ones and fives". You count only 1s and 5s unless you get 3 of a kind, all doubles, a full house, or a full straight.

Each hand is played to 10,000 points.

Do you get to yell anything if you get either a good *Yatzee!" or a bad "Farkle!" roll?

I'm not sure if you get to yell anything special. I usually say "crap" because I am usually rolling garbage.

One Saturday as the good son was picking up various sisters and cousins of my Mom's to take to some event in my mini van. Think it was one of their birthdays. They were all over 70. Driving down a 4 lane highway and going the speed limit I passed a trashed out black Trans Am. As I passed I looked over and for no reason the blond chick driving violently smashed the back of her hand against the closed window. The oldest and most proper of the old ladies, an anut, exclaimed "That b tch just tried to flip you the bird!" Then she started laughing hysterically adding, "Stupid b tch forgot to roll her f***ing window down!" Everyone in the van but me cracked up. I didn't know whether to be offended by the chick, laugh at the chick and my Aunt, or be shocked at what my very proper Aunt just said.

Put as much distance as I could between us and the Trans Am. Envisioned all the old ladies making me pull over while they jumped out and beat the trailer park chick with their purses. Then hearing on the news about a band of old ladies doing drive-by purse beatings in the area al la Monty Python.

Nobody else would go pickup and haul all those old ladies around for the day!

Still have no idea why that chick in the Trans Am tried to flip me off? She looked pissed off.

Morning Y'all,
Am I the only person having a long a55 wait for pelican to load? It is only pelican that does this so I am not really suspecting my laptop.

Morning all.

Rick, there are times Pelican is super slow and will not refresh at all. I just try again later. I know if someone loads a photo and then deletes that photo The entire site comes to a crawl.

Well it looks like winter has finally woken up, with this 30-something temps but at least the sun is out and bright and it looks so nice. Looks that is.

25 degrees yesterday with matching wind speed. The ground was frozen for the first time this year.

Cold here as well but at least it's not the bitter frikkin' cold like last year. Yet.

I used my leaf blower to clean the driveway of snow yesterday.

Richard-she may have been jealous of the other ladies getting to ride with you.

Got a couple of inches worth of flurries last night. 33* right now. Monday's high is supposed to be 8*......low of -7*

Why is it that people forget snow is slippery and it's my fault?

Have a CD of circus marches like they play at Barnum Bailey. Love driving around on slick icy roads with it playing...just seem appropriate.
